I'm a little confused, Gus. Is it a 3rd plaited belly, or an extra bolster? The reason I ask is because the word bolster was in parenthesis next to the word belly.

Good looking whip, nammann. I agree with you on the way whips appear when bevelled on the flesh side only. To me, they look cleaner. Mike Murphy told me a while back he does this to his 8 and 12 plait whips. Good job!

Lauren, thanks so much for the compliments! It means a lot to me when another whipmaker gives kind remarks about a whip I've made, especially one of yours & Paul's caliber. Tell him I said thank you, too, :) . I think that if the fall knot looks a bit large, it's due to the nylon material itself...

Thanks for saying that, Boggstandard. If you buy a POS whip off ebay, it's your own fault. There almost always seems to be a nice used whip from a well-known maker, as well as brand new whips on there. Do some research and ask questions.

I asked those guys selling these whips who in fact was the "master whip braider." The reply was that they couldn't divulge their source, which I thought was pretty lame. But honestly, I wouldn't mind taking one and beating it around some.
