Todd's Whip

Has anyone noticed that they are now $99? I think because of the "marshmallow" end Knot they lowered the price.

From another thread:
scot2525 wrote:If you recieved one of these factory whips which shipped after 6/1 you can get a refund taking the price to $99.00, if you purchased one of the whips he made "in house" the $199.00 pricepoint still stands. If you order any of his remaining whips from the first factory run it can be purchased for $99.00. I was told by a CS rep at Todd's, it may have been Chrissy, that he didn't make the whips anymore as it was to time consuming but I believe he stated in this thread that he would make a whip if a buyer request it.

Dou't! I can't read... I voted "No" thinking it meant "No, I don't like the marshmellow TH",,, It's clearly written. I just clicked an answer before reading the whole thing.

Todd said they don't look that big in person, but those photos look pretty bad.

I am assuming these are cow hide? Even with the marshmellow knot, $100 for a cow hide whip is not bad.

But remember, this is a Costume Whip that can be cracked occasionally, its not a real whip.

I see possibilities for the "marshmallow" whip being converted into a KotCS whip. $99. isn't bad. and shows the lengths Todd will go to for customer service!

Todd let me say " I am sorry!", I feel completely responsible for this @#$%.

Now to everyone else, can we leave this subject alone!. Todd is aware that his current inventory of whips is not up to "his" standards or the standards of several CoW members, but it still is one heckuva an Indy whip. Todd's customer service has been flawless concerning this version of the whip as he has responded to all complaints, cut the price in half, and contacted the factory about improving the next batch.

If you think about it, the marshmallow end knot may be modified in order to have the correct shape, right? I mean, the rest of the whip looks pretty good. And again, it's for costume purposes....
Well that's just my humble opinion.

Good things...

Why was this poll needed? In a case of wanting more for less what the product was and what it was intended to do was IMO clearly stated. Those who wanted more but weren't willing to pay for it were dismayed they got what they paid for.

Right, I was thinking the same thing, hollywood. I think polls can be fun at times, but these things were stated at the beginning that they were costume pieces. Besides, for the original $200 price, you can get a well-made, functional cowhide whip by a decent whipmaker.
