Fraudulent whip
Just a heads up - there's a David Morgan for sale "guess where" - that is very clearly NOT a Morgan. I've reported it and hope that it'll disappear. I'm sure most people here would spot that it's a con, but some folks might not. Sickening!

Wow. The only thing similar is the colour. And even that's not correct.
I think it'd be cool to post the link considering this is a misrepresentation auction right? I mean maybe the seller has no clue it's not a Morgan?
MODERATOR EDIT: Good, bad or indifferent, we have to stick with the rules here.

Hmmm, I read Joe's post earlier and now he's edited it...
Anyway, I remember seeing this particular model of whip in Morgan's catalog once a while back. I think it was an Australian-made bullwhip being sold as a cheaper alternative to his own production of bullwhips.
So, I believe this whip could have been bought from David Morgan, however the seller (through ignorance or carelessness, or whatever) is misrepresenting this whip. Perhaps the seller went to the Morgan site, looking for a description of the original whip, couldn't find it, and used the description of the closest thing the seller could find.
The one picture that looks like an actuall 450 series whip was taken from the David Morgan website. The other two pics are of the whip being sold, which happens to look more like a 6 footer than an 8 footer as the seller describes.
So, I don't think this one is outright fraud, just ignorance on the part of the seller.

Hi everyone, I had the chance to get a respond from this seller and this is what they had to say.
"My deepest apologies. I did not mean to misrepresent myself or the whip I am selling. I used the photo on the David Morgan website since it is clearer than the ones I took of the whip below. I just got off the phone with a representative of the David Morgan company to confirm. I bought this bull whip back in 1996, along with a single tail and the video tape, from the David Morgan catalogue. She explained to me that my single tail is a David Morgan, but this bull whip was an import from Australia and not a David Morgan whip. I had no idea since I bought it from their catalogue at the same time. Again, I am very sorry. I am contacting the highest bidder to explain, as well as e-bay."
I am not sure if this is true or not but I wanted to make sure for myself that this person did not intentionally try to pass this off as a DM bullwhip, they just did not know since it was in the DM catalogue that it was not a whip made by DM and I do have an older DM catalogue that has this particular whip in it.
Hope this helps clear things up I just did not want everyone to give this person a hard time and a bad feedback on E-bay. They just misunderstood.
Thanks,
Nick Ammann
