Re: I'm reading too much
ok experts, based on the raiders and LC wested offers now, does the LC offer more arm/chest room in the same size? example- do you think a 44 LC would have more room than a 44 raiders? In my experience an LC will have more room bar none, it's a roomier cut. The Raiders is a slimmer cut in general. ...

I own a 46 ToD horse hide and will soon be selling it so I can move on to a jacket that's more to my liking. I received the sizing chart from Wested for their standard sized jackets and was noticing the measurements for back and arm length to be somewhat generous. Example- the 46 back length shows 2...

Re: Indy’s Notebook
I got the book today after ordering it on 5/25 or so. I’m not posting pics so I’ll describe: it’s actually not laminated so I won’t do any sanding. The paper is unlined. The red binding is a kind of fabric tape, which I think is cool. The cover is about the same shade as a paper grocery bag, maybe a...

The organize.com thing has a laminated craft paper cover. I'm sure a light sanding will take care of that.

This might help folks who might've been curious about the older style LLBean Engineer boots. I asked this question through the Chippewa site: "You used to make a version of the Engineer Boot for LLBean that was made of very robust, stiff leather and now make a version which they call the Katahd...

Dear The Fedora Guy, Despite my tenure as a member of this site, I still do more lurking than posting. About 4 years ago I said I would never buy the leather, so I opted for the cotton raiders jacket. Soon after that I found that I simply had to have the leather version so I decided on the 44R goat. Someone mentioned that it had a rubbery feel to it and I have to agree. Not long after that I rediscov...

One hat for all occasions?
Set aside the fact that different hats were used in the making of the movies. Are we to assume that Indy only had one hat? Or that he had a hat for civilization and one for adventure? I don't remember seeing him travel with any hat boxes.

In my opinion, Todd's gloves are the closest that I've seen (he switches the fabric on the cuffs with a more accurate color as well). But if you don't have a preference for cuff color, barring a non-earth tone, then you might try asking Todd nicely if you can buy unaltered gloves for less than what ...

The Akubra sweatbands will shrink to fit your head size. I am told, that is one reason the hats seems to run large for a given hat size....I refuse to use the strips....The heat and moisture used in the lampshade technique just speeds up the inevitable. I'd rather not use the strips either. But my ...

So I'm going to a trade show and I have to wear a suit. I thought it would be fun to wear a bow tie, but not just any bow tie. That's right, I'm looking for a cheap 'close enough' to any of the non-dress bow ties Indy wore. I'm working from some bad photo references, but here's what I have so far: h...

I have the paratrooper bag and the messenger bag on these pages, they are not laptop material, they are floppy canvas bags, you'll probably want something stiffer.Forrest_Bell wrote:First off, this is my first post and I want to thank everyone for a new addiction

Has this happened to you?
I bought the wpg shirt but am returning it. I washed it the day that I received it and when I took it out of the dryer I noticed that the stitching at the top of the pleat had torn out (I didn’t like the pleat anyway) so I'm returning it. I'm not very impressed with it's construction either- against...
