But I feel myself slipping. I think it's hat time.

It's ALWAYS hat time. :)

(This is normal for a Gearhead. Let it happen. Soon it will be whip time, don't fight it.) :D

I don't know... as of this post, 83% say yes while only 16% say yes. Besides, I'm thinking of making my antique shop rounds in case any old hats are waiting for me to appear...

Having considered all the options, I think there are other choices that were left out of the poll:

Si
Oui
Da
Yeah
Yep
Yup
You bet
Sure

Having said that, though, I just can't decide which of the options to choose -- they all seem appropriate. So I vote: ALL OF THE ABOVE

And: Ja, definately, positively, confirmative...

Really a tough one this one... Can I call a friend?

Look at it the other way around - Why NOT a hat?

Cheers

Took three years of high school German and another year in college -- can't believe I forgot "Ja." [Insert hand slapping forehead here.]

Ah, well . . . I'm taking Italian now. Soon, I'll be barely understandable in three languages (other than English).

####! I'd have bought the horse if I'd known at the time they only wanted about $100 for him :(

Wow, so far 20 people think it's a good idea to invest in a hat. Most people picked the first yes, while far fewer picked the second yes, quite revealing if you ask me. Says to me that, if given a choice, most people would pick 'yes' over 'yes'.

Man that would have been a good deal! I wish I could get my own horse! Unfortunately I don't have really anywhere to keep it at the moment. :?

I would have voted in this poll, but unfortunately, being a seafaring type, this poll has been culturally skewed to exclude me.

(Oh, that means, 'aye'. Or 'arr', when I'm feeling a bit piratey. ;))

I'll assume that 'Yes' is close enough, then, and vote that...bad day for the universal translater to go offline...and babelfish still doesn't to 'english to pirate'. *sigh*...

J

EDIT: Oh, shoot, I did that wrong, I think I voted 'Yes' instead. :x Sorry to mess w/ your statistics, Jack!

I BOUGHT A FREAKIN' HAT! In the immortal words of Christopher Walken, "Wowie-wow-wow!" You know, airmail was just a couple of bucks more, to it'll be here in 5-10 days. I bought a close-enough a while ago that I steamed to near-perfection, that means I know how to do it. I can't wait to warp the new one.
PS- I got problems.

I should have my first, real fedora pretty soon(excluding the Dorfman, which fell apart on me).

My Wested has been pretty lonely lately so I figured I'd get him a companion. :P

Congrats. Remember the new Federations are already dimensionally cut, so all you have to do is the bash (crown dent & brim) - it goes pretty fast with a steam kettle. Can't wait for pictures.

The new politically correct sport: hat-bashing.

I got the hat, but alas, it was just 1 cm too big, so back it goes. And just in time for everyone's favorite holiday...so sad. Oh well.

Report: Received replacement lid two days ago. Now have a 58cm ilo 59cm. Ever so slightyly too big, but 57 would have been ever so slightyly too small. Foam works wonders. Hard to type and spelklk correctly while looking at self in mirror.
