Normally, my boots will arrive tomorrow. But I just postponed the delivery by one day. Won't be available during the office hours tomorrow but I will be on Wednesday. So looking forward in seeing these shoes. My first "Indy"-related buy since ages.

Never had that smell you're talking about when I bought mine back in 2011. It only had that very strong leather scent which faded away after a short period of time. Nevertheles, enjoy wearing this beauty. Looks great!

It's been about 30 hours now since I coated it and it still looks the same dark brown. I did use a brown colored creme. Not sure if it will stay. Time will tell I guess.

I'm also saving up money to order myself a S&J LC jacket. In the meantime I gave my 2011 Wested LC jacket in predistressed hide a new coating and it made the color much darker than before. Not sure if it stays like that but we'll see. First coating was done yesterday. I posted a pic on instagram...

I've grown so fat over the years that I don't need to thighten the straps so much anymore. I did have troubles with them before when I was younger and more fit than now.

I remember vaguely that wested also offered jackets made in india or pakistan back in the day, their off the rack jackets. not sure if they do it these days. and not sure if they were any good.

Thinking about getting one of those Harrison fedora's. But then again, maybe I need to safe up a bit an order a custom made one instead. Their prices are quite okay imho. And I've dealt with Thomas before in the past, and he's great to work with.

I'm a size 59 and I ordered a size 59 from AdVintage Fedora. It was a tiny bit loose in the beginning but the sweatband has shrunk a bit since then and it fits me very well. can't be more happier with it to be honest.

me too but I already had a small accident with it and the stitching on the outside right pocket has come loose. total length is about 3 cm I suppose. Not too bad. I'll get that fixed whenever I find someone who can do that here. don't think I'll be in the UK any time soon.

Just to let you guys know the jacket has broken in very well. to speed up that process, i even slept in the jacket! more than once!

I'm so pleased with it now and it's the best I've ever owned thus far. really need to get some pics of myself in the jacket. i'll see what i can do.

too hot in belgium during the day but at night it cools right off and it's always nice to have your indy jacket in the back of your car, just waiting to be put on.

The M42 Jumpjacket is still proudly worn by a lot of the Band of Brothers veterans I know. I own one too and I have to say, they are just fantastic. For that price, it's a bargain!
