94 / 74 Hi/Lo for today for cast

71% is the Humidity THIS IS WHAT MAKES IT UNBEARABLE. It will increase probably as the days go by; it is usually higher and not uncommon to be in the 85% range and higher.

The forecast over the weekend is to reach high's in the 95 F degree range....the hottest we have had all season....and it will get hotter in the next 2 months.

I do have a motorcycle....battery needs charging.
Wow..that's HOT! and humid too!

You're right, stay cool.

So Diego, I'm waiting to see the cowhide Crusades in leather that's been pre-distressed before construction. Do you have one of those to show in the near future?

I'm sorry, but the only LC distressed is order #53, and is in the lightweight cowhide.
Not the premium cowhide seeing on car96's jacket.

I'm planning to have mine in premium cowhide and distressed...but I think I'm the last in the waiting line...

EDIT: order #44 is Premium Cowhide distressed!!!

Wow, THIS is a really exciting Thread! (Especially the suspense of waiting to see MORE of these amazing jackets!) =P~

I also need to use THIS opportunity to publicly pass along a message to our good friend Diego:
Diego, I'm currently on vacation many, many miles from home and do not have regular access to my home e-mail address. I've been away for a week but will continue to be away for another week...
I'm nervous that if you try to reach me by my home e-mail address (and don't get a response from me) that you'll think it means I'm no longer interested... But I AM, my friend... Just as I said before. I'm simply out of town for another week :)

If you need to pass along some information, please try to send it to me as a PM here... or look for me on Facebook and send me a message that way

Thanks! :TOH:

The Houston area is crazy hot and humid. It kills people. :Dietrich:

....as before, nothing like getting a brand new leather jacket in the middle of summer..... :P

The cow you used in your initial post is a ringer for the film jacket. To date, this is probably the best LC repro. that has ever been offered. I always wondered who would step up and do the LC jacket justice. :-k

Keep up the good work Diego! ;)

I'll take the package to costums office tomorrow for inspection and approval.
Once we get the approved stamp, goes directly to post office and gets the tracking number.
Ussually takes 24 to 48 hours to be dispatched.

Cheers.-

PS: amazing jacket. Very nice.

PS 2: glory news for LC jacket fans...more info ---> soon.-

Got it today. Asked my friend at the post office to look and he found the box. They just forgot to put a package slip in my box.

Jacket is nice. A little on the heavier side which will make it a good cold weather jacket. Leather is beautiful (see pics a few posts above). Is not snug but slightly form fitting. Not a jacket you would layer very much underneath but a thick shirt or light sweater would work. Very pleased with the quality and communication.

I just placed an order for my LC repro by Diego. The wait will be torturous but the payoff will be well worth it. My LC style Garrison finally made it to me the other day after a grueling 2 month wait and let me tell you it is absolutely amazing!

Hey guys, well I finally got my S & J and I have to say I am very impressed !! Thanks Texan, you had suggested them to me a few years ago and I'm not disappointed ! I am working on getting pics up on here so bear with. I'm still going with the Raiders look and I'm going to sand the edges and throw it in the dryer once or twice but I love it. :TOH:

Here's my new S&J LC, pictures fresh from this afternoon! (I appreciate Diego's willingness to model all these awesome jackets. ;) ) For reference, it's pre-distressed premium cowhide, and a size 46 (Diego is a couple sizes smaller, so it looks baggier on him). Jacket won't be in hand for a while yet, but should be on its way through the mail soon. It looks exactly like the castle/zeppelin/beach jacket, and I love the colour. Can't wait to slip it on!

I like the overall jacket. Love the color.

I would definitily make it in a beefier skin. It looks too drapy and too grainy. The sleeves should be alittle more tapered towards the cuff. The backpanel should be alittle more narrow.

This is just my opinion on the jacket. Still a very nice Last crusade style jacket.. but I would tweak it if I had the choice of doing so. :TOH:

However, let's wait until the owner receive the jacket. So we see how it fits on him.
You might be seeing some distorted nuances, due to the sizing difference (I'm 2 sizes smaller than the orderer)

I was thinking of ordering one of these but now IDK... I know the hero jacket had reddish/tan undertones, but it looks REALLY red in these pictures

We've tried to replicate the original color, on this leather.

Here is a LAST CRUSADE screen-used jacket
You can see reddish here too:

The reddish undertones jumps on pictures made with certain light conditions.
In person, that leather, isn't that red.

However we have other leather choices.-

Indiego Jones don't change anything about this jacket! For everyone who says it's not SA etc...there are a dozen of us who thinks it's incredibly accurate to the hero jacket. Opinions including my own are subjective but I think an overwhelming majority of fans would find no fault with the coat. I think any inconsistencies are caused by lighting mostly and of course a new jacket needs to be broke in just like any other piece of gear. Kudos!

Just wanted to add to this conversation :)

I got My beautiful S&J Last Crusade Jacket about a month ago.
I wanted to post photos almost immediately but a family situation took me out of town for a few weeks and I’m just starting to get caught up with things Now :?

First let me say that I couldn’t be more impressed with this jacket!
It’s GREAT and I love it!

Some things to say about the whole experience and outcome:

The Customer Service was TOP Notch. Diego did an outstanding job of making sure we had my measurements properly worked out. As a result, the fit of the jacket is wonderful! The kind of thing I would have only expected if I’d visited them In Person! GREAT job!

The Color of the jacket is a beautiful warm brown (that will be evident in these 'direct sunlight' shots I’m posting here), but the color becomes a rich chocolate brown in the shade (or under overcast skies) … I just love it. EXACTLY what I wanted in My Last Crusade jacket.

The Leather is not too tough, thick or unyielding (I’ve worn some LC jackets that feel like I have two big panels of body armor separated by a zipper on the front of my chest)… instead, it’s a really nice thickness that has a lot of ‘play’ (you can see that in some of the shots where I’m twisting around and giving the whole thing an opportunity to swing)

Also have to say that the Texture of the leather is also something really special… Beautiful grain to it.

Now, I’ll be the first to admit that these shots aren’t anything too fancy and were done pretty quickly so that I could get these posted. I’m not in Full Costume or anything (and yeah, those are just a pair of jeans that I’m wearing LOL)
and I want you to know that I realize that I’m a bit too scruffy to be pulling off a Last Crusade Indy Face!
I do plan to do a few additional (and more Screen Accurate) shots sometime in the next few weeks, but all I really wanted to accomplish here today is to show off the great fit and beautiful color & texture of the jacket…

I really hope you like the results. I know I do!

First up is a couple of shots showing close-ups of the great leather they’re using:

Image

Image

A few ‘static’ and ‘in motion’ shots

Image

Image

Image

Image

I like these next 2 shots next to each other to show the effect the light & shadow has on 2 similar poses

Image

This was my attempt at that motorcycle ‘look over the shoulder’ pose

Image

A follow-through punching motion

Image

A close-up of that beautiful leather grain (followed by another shot to show the effect of different light and shadow on the ‘color appearance’ of the leather

Image

Image

And finally... One Satisfied Customer.
THANKS, Steele & Jones! :D

Image

I know that Diego and Roberto have worked really hard on this project to make it happen (so if you like what you see and you want a really amazing LC Jacket, go ahead and send a little Business their way!)

Cheers,
Mitch :TOH:

That is a fantastic looking jacket Mitch. I've owned 3 Wested jackets in total. Still got one left and got rid of my first two. Although I've always liked my Wested jackets I think it's time to look elsewhere. As hard as Peter and Co did their best for me over the past one and a half decade, they never got it 100% right. But close enough. I sent S&J an e-mail to ask for the costs of this wonderful looking jacket. Waiting patiently for their reply.
