Well, I cut the stitches a long time ago on my original W&G MKVII and I don't see what the fuss is about. The original strap can be put back on any day so good that even a militaria collector wont notice it was part of an Indygear collection

I have the authentic lamb jacket. It's very nice and a very light jacket to wear as well. Goat is also a nice jacket and I think more durable than lamb, but the lamb can still take some beating on your adventures.
