Johnny's Adventurebilt????

Post by Kaleponi Craig »

In the Newsweek that just arrived today there's an article on Johnny Depp. On page 46 there is a picture of him wearing what looks very much like an Adventurebilt, but with a thinner ribbon than the Indy version. He looks pretty darned good in it, too...KC

It's certainly possible. Some time ago Steve said that he had made a hat for a big star, but never did disclose the name for confidentiality reasons. And this wouldn't be the first time Captain Jack was the prime suspect

If it's the same pic I'm thinking of, it's not an AB. The pic I see has a bound brim.

It's hard to see the bound brim on the picture in Newsweek, but it looks like the same lid as on the above website, which indeed has a bound brim. But it sure is a great looking hat...KC

If I am not mistaken, the consensus is that the hat in these pics is a Borsalino Alessandria..........

My guess would be either a Borsalino (not sure if it is vintage or new) or an Adam. Either way I like the lid.

Cheers!
