Ok. You guys have guessed it!! I just can't say which one it is. Sorry!! Like I said, I am framing the paypal printout. I even have a cell phone number and address!! Perhaps I will get permission to say, I dunno. But, he appears in the NE off and on, and he said I might see a pic of the hat there later this year. That is why I brought that rag up. The bow will be the givaway. I have already said too much, I think. I found it strange that he would do the purchasing himself, and not a flunky doing the ordering for him. He did not want it to look like Indy's(his competition he said, jokingly) I had the nerve to tell him that I did not like some of the other hats he wore in the past. He then writes back, and orders, and tells me to make him what I think would look good on him!! You could have knocked me over with a feather, once I got up off the floor. I put my big foot in my mouth. Now I am stressed out!!! He wanted a bit of Indy flair, but not a knockoff. I am sweating bullets!! Fedora

If it's who I think it is, I can have faith that this will bring fedora's back into the mainstream.

I was going to guess Sponge Bob Squarepants, but since he hasn't been mentioned yet, I guess that's not right. :( Congratulations, Steve! Of course, none of of are really surprised at all....only in the fact it's taken this long for those folks to find you! Glad they finally did!

High regards! Michaelson

I still say Michael Douglas!

However, to say it might be seen in the N.E. later this year and mentioning hats worn in the past has to mean Johnny Depp.

That is great news Fedora. Keep up the good work!

Steve that is sooooooo cool! Congrats!

My guess is Ben Affleck! He's in the NE all the time!
Brad Pitt is in there too!? Hmmm? He was in the Oceans 11 & 12, he's got the stingy brim Sanatra thing going on latley? :-k

I think everyone is incredibly happy for you and just as anxious and nervous!

My money'd be on Cage, I've seen pics of him wearing fedora's and I hear he's a pretty down to earth guy for the most part and likes to get out and talk to normal people when possible.

My mom was friends with an older woman (passed away) whos' son, Trevor, manages a Exotic Tropical Fish store in Beverly Hills, and I met him at the funeral and we were talking about filmmaking, and he was saying that stars come into his store all the time, but the one that he admires most is Nick Cage

Nick loves exotic fish and collects them and when he won his Oscar for Leaving Las Vegas he went over there with the Oscar and his son and took Trevor out for a $150 lunch! (must have had a lot of martinis)

This guy celebrated his Oscar win with the manager of a fish store! Now that is a down to earth guy!

And if you want to get way off the cuff..

Nick Cage is Francis Ford Coppolla's nephew, Francis Ford Coppolla started an independent film production co. with George Walton Lucas in San Fran, and George Walton Lucas created the Indiana Jones character

BWAHAHHAHHAHA

I think it's Depp. Was that a French address Steve?

Steve gave us a clue that the guy considers Mr. Ford as the Compitition...

People keep saying that Cage was supposed to be the next "Harrison Ford" with all the action movies he's made, and that "National Treasue" was supposed to be his "Raiders Of The Lost Ark..." So I'm going to double down on Cage.

I think this brings up a good subject. I think that the vendors should come up with a CODE that we will all know if and when an Indy 4 is being made and they are involved. For instance, if Fedora is called to do the hats, obviously he won't be able to say. BUT if we arrange ahead of time for him to say something like- "Hey guys, I'm not going to be able to make hats for a while, my cousin Cozmo is in town" or something like that , then we KNOW what is in the works!

What do you think?

have a nice day.

OK, the style has been nailed. He originally told me since I did not like his choice in hats, to use my own judgement. Now, understand, this was in my original reply to his inquiry, and at that time, I thought I was having my leg pulled by someone here. Imagine my embarrassent when I discovered he was the authenic article.(if one uses his mailing address and name as the proof)

Since that time, he has changed his mind and requested a tall porkpie! In black, with a vintage iron ribbon. 2 1/4 brim. So now you know what to look for later on this year, or early next year. If you see a taller than normal porkpie with my vintage iron hatband, that is it!!!!!!! And, I am obeying his wishes, I have not mentioned his name, or his hat size. And will not do so. A hard thing to do for this blabbermouth, but I think I can pull it off. It might be in my best interest in the long haul. Fedora

It's Cage.

Just try to search Google for "national treasure indiana jones" and read all the articles where National Treasure and Cage is compared with Indiana Jones"

I don't see who else it could be.

Does it have to be Depp?

Post by Kilgour Trout »

Wow..what is it these days with "Black High Crowned Pork Pies?". As I was watching the news (Canadian that is), They reported on how the Stones were coming to Moncton, New Brunswick. (Very NE, or North East eh!) and then low and behold, a certain 60ish singer is shown heading off stage in a Very High Crowned, Wide brimmed black pork pie.

Hmmm....what's going on these days?
C'mon Mick there ain't no satisfaction until you snap down that brim!!!
