Re: Magnoli WL Raiders questions
It's probably just best to do what I did when I ordered a Magnoli White Label years ago, and measure another jacket that fits about the same as you want this jacket to fit. I know Steele & Jones sort of specialize in doing what you're talking about, taking your measurements and then putting it t...

I really want to say I love this jacket, I just don't love it as an "Indiana Jones" jacket. I'd say it's about 3 years old. It's more functional, I suppose. It's certainly the heaviest jacket I own. Even heavier than a knee-length thick wool overcoat I wear sometimes in the winter. It fits...

Arch. Thanks for your input. Tell me why Cowhide is bad? First I will add that cow is thick, stiffer and doesn't drape as well as Lamb. but S & J offers a thin 0.9mm thin cowhide. Also I just sold an Indiana Jones Raiders Jacket that I believe to be cow and it was definitely thicker, heavier an...

I mentioned this is the other thread, but I will say it here. If you're going to go with Steele & Jones Cazadora '36, then save up longer, or invest more in the lambskin, which is $650 before shipping. The Wested Raiders Legacy in lambskin is about $325, before shipping. Cowhide is bad for scree...

Thanks, everybody. Yeah, it came out that light. It truly is the dark brown Rit. The leather really soaks it up. Some spots I had to go over again after a couple days because it soaked it in so much. I have the Legacy Temple of Doom jacket, which has the same leather as the Raiders. I gave mine the water treatment and then weathered it with 2000 grit, and then rougher paper for the spots that are supposed to look more rough and a tiny bit "shredded", like on screen. It is a hideous gre...

Looks great! How did you size it if I may ask. I am a 42" chest and usually buy size 42 from Wested (Raiders Hero, Legacy LC), but the reference size chart tends to suggest a size down on this one to a 40 based on the chest measurement, as a 24" chest for a size 42 is too large and roomy ...

I have tried acetone on a magnoli jacket and it seemed to not do much at all, actually.
