Crystal Skulls vs Last Crusade differences?
What are the main differences between the two jackets? - besides the leather?
Re: Crystal Skulls vs Last Crusade differences?
Leather, weathering, and I think the collar is a bit different.
Re: Crystal Skulls vs Last Crusade differences?
Quite a bit is different, from the lC jacket. I'm not an expert on the KotCS jacket. Double arm stitching, collar shape. pocket size and shape. Leather facings.

Re: Crystal Skulls vs Last Crusade differences?
Hi Kokopelli,
Many differences between LC and CS.
Some I can name, without getting too technical about patterning:
* Front pockets shape and position
* Leather facings on CS, not on LC
* Lining material
* Different zipper
* Different snaps (type and color)
Patterns: very different.
CS is a "more balanced jacket", so to speak.
More like a normal jacket, than a costume piece.
Regards.-

Indiego Jones, can you show some pictures of the Cowhide for the CS jacket? What kind of Cowhide- pre-distressed or ‘normal’ skin?
Re: Crystal Skulls vs Last Crusade differences?
There’s pictures on the main website. http://steele-jones.com.ar/jackets.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We made no jacket in the new cowhide, yet.Kokopelli wrote:Indiego Jones, can you show some pictures of the Cowhide for the CS jacket? What kind of Cowhide- pre-distressed or ‘normal’ skin?
Not predistressed. I make the accurate distressing job by hand.

How is the new cowhide compared to the horsehide? Your horsehide you were using a few years ago is my favorite leather of all my Indy jackets, but I do appreciate a good cowhide as well. There's something rasposo about a good cowhide that gives it character.

I used to live in Arizona for a few years back in the day. I managed to learn some Spanish. I have not heard the word "rasposo" in about 20 revolutions around the Sun. I love this website.
I apologize if this is off-topic.

Re: Crystal Skulls vs Last Crusade differences?
Well, this new cowhide is no "rasposo" at all
A nice soft finish, very pliable, and it drapes amazingly.
Deep chocolate color with warm light brown undertones.
And offers the durability and strenght known on cowhide skins.
In comparison, our Horsehide (in standard thickness) was a little more stiff to touch.
Cheers.-

Re: Crystal Skulls vs Last Crusade differences?
You simply must post some pictures of this cowhide!
Re: Crystal Skulls vs Last Crusade differences?
I’ve got a KOTCS due in October in the new hide, so that’d be the latest you’d see one.
Re: Crystal Skulls vs Last Crusade differences?
I think I might get a ToD jacket from Steele and Jones in Cowhide. Or possibly the Imans house Raiders jacket.

Re: Crystal Skulls vs Last Crusade differences?
I'll post pictures of the first jacket in the new cowhide in about 15 days.
Is a "very" customized LC jacket.

* 2 inside lining pockets (right one with zipper)
* front pockets positioning "corrected" with center of the jacket
