I’m still stuck on Frost River’s assertion that a studio has to “ask permission” to use a product in a film. LOL. The interest runs the other way: companies PAY for studios to use their product in their films; the studios don’t ask permission. And it’s a “trademark violation” to remove the branding?...

She actually got it at a local costume shop here in Dothan, AL called "Out On A Whim".

It's an officially licensed Star Trek costume, though, so I imagine there are a lot of places online that also carry it.

Wade, thanks for a perspective I hadn't thought of. I've been hastily collecting scree-accurate gear like crazy for two weeks and I guess it just didn't occur to me that -- for this event -- it won't be the worst thing to show up with a pair of cotton khakis.

If you push it down, it doesn't want to snap back to it's original state? My hats sometime do that when they've hit something, but a little push and they always snap back :-k Regards, Geert No, it appears this is the default shape of the back of the hat. Actually I take great care to always sit it on a flat surface with the front of the brim hanging over the edge and the back touching nothing. So, sitting it on a flat surface won't seem to do anything to pull that back brim back down.

Any other thoughts?

I had no idea that the same hat had been priced over such a broad range of prices in the last 18 months.
