Re: Tony Nowak jackets?
My experience from emailing Tony was the “standard” CS jacket was $650. Immediately after his death the guy who took over TNO raises the price to $950. Indiana Jeff "The guy" was Riley, Tony's stepson. He ran the shop in a reduced capacity for roughly two years, though the last several mo...

Re: Wested Temple of Doom Underarm Gussetts
I sort of pulled one off today. Ordered a TOD from Wested but they only go up to size 46. I ordered the 46 but in the comments requested a size 50 jacket, larger pockets but smaller than the raiders and in horsehide. Have plenty of lightweight Indy jackets. Wested did their normal screening of the ...

Re: Wested ROLA Custom - Should I get gussets??
Onstat, If I can offer up one bit of advice, I'd say double-check the back length by comparing a sport coat or some other jacket. At worst, tape paper together to get the length you are considering and then have someone tape/hold it to your back and see where it hits. You said you'll be wearing thi...

@Chewbacca Jones, thank you for addressing that the body type determines the cut of the jacket. People get too caught up on what the back length should be. Short or long-torso, broad shouldered or sloped shoulders, and stomach size are just a few of the factors that people should take into considera...

Re: Indy III jacket, by S&J
Is the LC more functional that the others? I would have thought the Nowak one is the most functional - it's the most professionally tailored even if it is not as magical as an accurate LC. My TN is a great jacket that I worked with Tony to work better for my day to day needs. We slimmed the sleeves...

Re: Fit For Ford...in Raiders!
Something I always wondered was whether or not Ford's jacket may have been one size too small on him? I mean, it wouldn't surprise me if they made him a jacket one size too small in the chest to make him look bulkier and more rakish by doing so. It wouldn't be unusual to do so. Rumor has it that Da...

If you want to boil it down, I think the bigger issue is this...some think that a jacket vendor is playing dirty pool, and offends their sensibilities, so they do not want people to buy from the vendor, but to buy a jacket from the other vendor(s)...? Re: BK Raiders vs. Nowak Raiders
This has nothing to do with Tony's death. Don't make it about that. None of these people are making the jacket themselves. In this case a Nowak jacket was taken apart for the sake of a exact pattern then turning it over to jacket makers to fullfill orders. There is no skill by this person. They are...

Thanks John, at least you can see where I'm coming from. If BK had utilized the same leathers and made their own pattern, it wouldn't be such an issue. Oildale, That is one jacket that should NEVER leave your collection. It has such unique character to it, that I have not seen in any other from TNO. The only way to be certain of how many Raiders jackets have left TNO, you would have to be able to see the folder containing each customers order (name, jacket number, inscription). As for the numbering, it remained the same after Riley took over the shop.
