If you had a hand ejector in its original .455 and a M1917 DA45. Both the same in terms of year of make, serial number, original finish and parts etc. Which one would be worth more?

I’m in no hurry also, I was just curious what was out there since I’ve been out of the game for a while. Hopefully John gets better and I can just send it to him for a full refurbishment. However, if I found a hatter that I liked I’d be open to getting it done with them.

John is out of commission, he would be my first choice since the hat in question is a Steve Delk Adventurebilt KOTCS made from the screen used run of felt. I’m holding off on a reblock until John returns. But I need to get the brim re flanged, and the hat cleaned,

the Crusade whip was a very dark whip has well, supposedly most of of the whips carried over into the other films. So I say the saddle tan makes a great ToD/LC whip, but not raiders, hence the reason why I now own both colors

Actuallyif you see the saddle tan in real life up close in the sun, it looks almost spot on to the screen used whips that I've seen pics of, it just photographs really dark and red, I'll try to take a pic that illustrates it's true color

Instead of using a zippo to deposit soot, you can burn old models or model frames they give off a very dark smoke, you don't have to get the holster as close to the flame as with a zippo, that and brown shoepolish to help darken it up. that way you don't use as many harsh chemicals on your leather
