Natural Tan vs. Saddle Tan Joe Strain whips w/ pics

Post by Indiana Cromeens »

I bought a new joe strain whip. I loved my saddle tan so much that I bought another one in natural tan. Joe's plaiting is tighter than ever, and the new whip is a full pound lighter! The knot is more bulbus than the saddle tans more cylindrica-like knot. I took some comparison pics to share with you all.

Great looking whips.
There is no doubt that Joe is one of the best.
I have seldom seen plaiting done any better.
Congratulations on your new whip- and on the old one as well.

As everybody can now see, Saddle Tan is not screen accurate at all. Way too dark.

Nice whip, looks just like my four-month-old JS. Only a bit lighter.

Actuallyif you see the saddle tan in real life up close in the sun, it looks almost spot on to the screen used whips that I've seen pics of, it just photographs really dark and red, I'll try to take a pic that illustrates it's true color

The really dark color that saddle tan gets after a while is VERY screen accurate for a ToD whip. The whip in ToD was so dark that it almost looked black unless the sun was shining directly on it.

the Crusade whip was a very dark whip has well, supposedly most of of the whips carried over into the other films. So I say the saddle tan makes a great ToD/LC whip, but not raiders, hence the reason why I now own both colors

Cromeens,

I think you've nailed it! The list of excuses for owning more than one whip goes on & on, but that excuse at least makes an attempt at plausibility!!

Well you could also say that indy owned more than one whip, in ROTLA, belloch takes indys whip away as well as his gun, indy goes home and pulls another whip out of his closet and a new gun out of his dresser

Oh, most definitely...his closet probably looked like Thomas Edison's -- 10 of the same shirt, 10 of the same pants, 10 of the same whip, etc...

When writing that last post, I couldn't remember which it was, so I just picked one! It could've been Einstein...hmmm...
