I recommend checking out Sunbody Straw hats. They specialize in western hats but also have several fedora models and even offer open crowns. Their hats are made from palm straw and can be shaped with water. They are also rugged and not as fragile as a panama.

The current production PPK's run between $500-600 depending on your location. Most are stainless steel but blued ones are still available. It makes an excellent pocket gun.

Reminds me of a jacket that my grandfather wore. As a truck driver in the 40's & 50's, he always wore a waist length leather jacket, brown fedora, beige Dickies pants and a tie sometimes. He looked a lot like Alan Ladd in the movie China.

I've got to vote for the revolver he used in the Cairo street sceens. Those scenes are just so iconic. Besides, Indy is a bit of a cowboy and a revolver fits his character.

I just saw your jacket pics. I really like the uneven distress marks on the back of the jacket. I think it looks much more realistic than the usual parallel scratches that are so often seen on artificial distress jobs.

If you're caught between sizes, I recommend going with a slightly larger size. You can always put some kind of spacer in the head band to tighten up the fit. I've never had a hat stretch out. Even the best ones seem to contract a little over the years. I think it's just nature of the material.

I had dark lamb and sold it for authentic lamb. I discovered I much prefer the darker color because to me it looks more like the jackets do on screen. My authentic lamb photographs dark but looks much too light to my eyes. It's all in the eye of the beholder I guess.

Darkening a Wested Authentic Brown?

Can anyone recommend a practical way to evenly darken an authentic brown Wested? It's a great jacket and looks good in photos but I'm not satisfied with how it appears to the naked eye. I would love to make it a bit darker if possible. Any ideas? Anyone ever tried this?
