On Wested’s website for ordering a Legacy jacket, is the sizing input for “back” and “sleeve” for my body measurements OR the length I want those parts of the jacket to be? I gather the chest size is a body measurement, but use of the word “sleeve” has me wondering.

Thanks Croft. I'd love an S&J...someday. I was actually looking into Wested's B-3 offering (I know, I know...not accurate repros, but also no $1000+). I haven't seen anywhere that S&J does anything other than Indy, but wouldn't it be great if they got into B-3 (or better yet B-6) productions...

I've found in my case it's the amount of stiffener that's been applied to the felt that gives the hat the 'lift' the wind needs to pull it off my head. I have the striated lamb signature series. It is as heavy duty as you can get for lambskin-- very nice. I ordered a standard size L but it was too roomy (I'm usually an off-the-shelf L). Size M fit perfect. My father-in-law who has a rounder belly than me liked the jacket so much, he kept the size L.

One thing I HIGHLY recommend is that you replace the square side strap buckles with either another set of D-rings, or a set of rings as used on the Wested or G&B jackets. If you're not careful, you can actually punch holes in car seats and furniture with the sharp corners of those buckles. I ha...
