I was just wondering if it was worth your while talking to the estate and seeing if there was any of the equipment in there that might be useful to you or any of our hat makers. He had to have some sort of block, or even an adjustable block? No real place to put the equipment or cash to buy it. :( ...

Well I emailed Myke at U.S. Wings about either a refund or exchange for a Legend since I was told the Hero jacket is discontinued. I like the longer length of the Hero but really want to come away from this transaction with a jacket. ](*,)

Hard to day. I'd guess probably not. They have never been big fans of the storm flap snap, even though it's completely functional. They were on some of the first iterations, but later offerings were dropped. That said, they're not that difficult to either install yourself, or HAVE installed. Regard...

It also helps to have a long oval shaped head. It's like pounding a round peg into a square hole....it's hard to get back out. Granite gray is indeed a warm gray, or as I like to call it, "earthy gray," which is the sort of gray that can be worn with browns and tans. I own one, and it can look rather tan in some light. But it is very much gray, not tan. Or brown. :[ I think Oak is right, though. The jacket behind...

Well, I finally pulled the trigger on a Penman, CS grey traveling hat. Can't wait. Sent John a pic of me with a tape wrapped around my head, gave him my hat size and guess what, I got a phone message saying that something didn't add up and that he'd send out those measuring tapes. I'm in the minority who think the LC hat is the best of the 4. And your pictures, DHW prove my point. I'm no adventurer but like a fedora with a suit to class tings up. And the scene on the Venice pier with Indy and his hat and suit is my favorite look. Your look there in your pics is a close second...

Well as a very proud owner of the Penman CS Train hat I'm biased. I have absolutely no taper! I fell in love with it in the scene with Indy on the train platform and the steam from the engines billowing around him. And John's craftsmanship is excellent. I couldn't be happier.
