Re: What's the Paramount Jacket?

Might be one and the same. It seems like this was definitely a "giveaway" jacket, as opposed to a shelf item, based on the bits I'm hearing.

Re: What's the Paramount Jacket?

Interesting. There may well have been 2 or more Paramount version jackets. The one referred to in the write up talks of it begin modeled after Lee Keppler's pattern. This one is an A2 style. It wouldn't surprise me. Just think how many licensed hat variants they had on the shelves back then. I wond...

Re: What's the Paramount Jacket?

Funny thing is that I just got one of these in my possession. A friend of mine won it at a bookstore during the release of LC on VHS in the late '80s. It's a bomber jacket, but not screen accurate by any stretch. I have yet to find an image of another of these anywhere else in my internet searches. ...

Neat find! Given that you can get quality safety razor blades for cheap, I'm not sure this would be a necessary device to use, but the concept is cool. I wonder how well it would actually work?

David brought back to life a vintage beater featherweight felt hat of mine several years ago and it still looks awesome. It's my go-to summer felt. There may actually be pics of it earlier in this thread.

Looks similar to the basic British Pattern 37 web haversack. The Mk VII gas mask bag was part of this web kit, so yes, it's a perfect "big brother" alternative to what Indy carried. I don't know what this one looks like on the back, but I have an original WWII haversack that I use often wh...

Hey, Dave! I'm FINALLY posting pics! This is the vintage Knox Vagabond Dave literally brought back from the dead for me. Actually the MkIV was used up through WWII and even by police forces thereafter in some countries. The MkIV remained in service until 1963 alongside the Enfield No. 2 Mk I revolver (which was almost completely identical, except for being made by a different manufacturer). :TOH:
