The one's I'm wearing are the taupe microfibers. The shot of the 3 pairs on the tile floor - the far right are heritage khaki, which I don't think they carry anymore. They were too gold colored to be Indy-esque anyways...

I'd say darker polish, but only on the really light areas. Towards the front of the boot already looks pretty good. I'd go with either brown polish, or if you want to get some reddish tones in get cordovan color polish...

When they break in they will hopefully develop into the color of the tounge and upper portion of the boot - the shine is probably from the waterproofing. I think the trick will be to treat them with products that do not increase the darkness - kind of the opposite that you would do with the dark tan...
