Re: DOD hat is in a new color!

Sorry to the beaver owners, but the beaver hat never looked right. Would deep sable still be accurate for the earlier movies? What didn't look "right" to you about the CS hat? For me it’s too boxy and too unyielding, the felt lacks character if that makes sense, it always looks ‘new’. Des...

Singing the praises of Steele and Jones

Happy Sunday Indy fans. I've done a lot of looking at this website but not much posting, so I wanted to contribute a little to the community. I have always wanted a great Indy jacket and I looked and looked and read reviews and did a lot of watching for what all of the makers manufactured and decide...

I take them off by the crown 99% if the time with no issues. Just don't squeeze the pinch hard and you'll be just fine. To set my hats down I just snap up the brim and plop them down brim down.

Shortening a US Wings jacket

Has anyone shortened a US Wings jacket? I recently purchased a striated lambskin and it looks really good but I would like to take about 1.5 inches off of it and I am in debate mode as to leave it be or shorten it.

It finally arrived today! I've been wanting a Last Crusade hat for years now and am very excited to be an owner of a Steele and Jones Explorador '38. I decided to go with the "Superior" quality version with the nice goatskin sweatband, herbert johnson ribbon and HJ inspired liner. My init...

I find wearing anything with a collar helps offset the width of the brim of any fedora and make it look less awkward. I always wear a button up shirt with a collar with my fedoras. Not necessarily a dress shirt mind you.

I have a 57 I need rio sell. It gets no head time. In the price range you mentioned check out the Fed IV. There's a great exchange rate right now. It'll be still within your price range and is a great hat.

Looking at the "reality" of Indy, I would say that in Raiders, we don't have any information to suggest that the hat has sentimental value (as we get in LC). I think Michaelson pegs it, here - if it was his one and only hat, he would have reblocked it, or replaced it if ruined. But we kno...

So, we all know that when Indy jumped into the river in Peru his hat would have tapered, but hollywood being what it is and Indy's multiple fedoras aside, would Indy have had the hat reblocked or simply worn that thing ala Fred C.
