Hey folks,
It's been over a year since I've had the chance to take my Stenhouse out, and even longer since I've gotten to do any serious practice with it. Does anyone have any tips on the kind of Pecarding routine I should put it through before I start putting it through its paces again?
Best,
RJ

Color of Vintage Millitary Pants?
Hey all, First, I'd like to thank Antiquity Collector for being willing to go out and make this great find available to all of us; I've been wearing mine since I got them, and they're just great pants - that they have a button fly, two rear pocket flaps and pleats just sweetens the deal. I was wonde...

What's the worst that could happen...
...if I don't turn my jacket inside out before sticking it in the dryer? I've had my Wested Goat for over a year, and I love it to death, but sometimes it seems a little stiff. I've been meaning to take a trip down to the dryer here at school, but the lining of my jacket has some small holes I've pa...

Hey guys, I was at the stunt show on Thursday, and managed to get picked as an extra. Naturally, the gearhead in me came out, and instead of cheering Indy as he ran around the stage, I was trying to get a closer look at the handle of the bullwhip as it lay on the mat. I'm almost positive that the th...

Help fixing hole in Wested lining.
I just noticed two small (a little larger than pinhead-sized) holes in the cotton lining of my year-old Wested... hardly big enough to warrent replacing the liner, but I'd really like to stop them before they get any bigger. Should I just patch them, or sew them, or just bite the bullet and send the...

Detatching/Reattatching NH strap
I've just picked up a NH MK-VII, and while it's in absoloutely wonderful condition, the strap is on backwards. When I wear the strap with the buckle across my chest, the bag itself sits on my right hip instead of my left. Does anyone know how to remove a NH strap, and then put it back on unharmed? I...

Lampshade method how-to?
I've got a fed that's just a bit too big for me (two sizes, to be exact; it's a 61 and I wear a 59/60), and I was wondering if the lampshade method would be able to correct this. If it can't, then I have a friend with a 61 inch head who would be delighted to take it off my hands, but I'd rather it n...

Covert whipcare help?
Hello all, I'm at school now (Guilford College, Greensboro NC), and have found out through various channels that "of all the things you don't want to bring to Guilford, a bullwhip is number 1!" Something about a "bullwhip incident" some years back... Now, I have my 8 foot Stenhou...

Replacing J. Crew Laces?
I just got my J. Crew Deckers, and am very pleased with them. They look good, except for the laces, so I was thinking about swaping out the standard laces and replacing them with authentic Alden laces. I found this number on an old post: The Alden Shop 201 Kearny Street San Francisco, CA 94108 Phone...

Informal poll... Which fabric looks shirtiest?
My homemade Indyshirt quest continues... when I'm done, I will provide a full write up (complete with directions), if anyone would be interested. Until then, could I get some opinions on the color of the two fabrics I've narrowed it down to? Fabric A? http://fashionfabricsclub.com/home/catalog_itemd...

Making a shirt... please help (anything!)
Making a homemade Indy-shirt has proved to be quite an undertaking... Can anyone provide some specs from the NH shirt (material, measurements)? I wear a size medium (15 1/2 neck size), so if anyone could PM me with measurements taken from their own shirt I'd be much obliged... also, if anyone has so...

Where can I buy shirt-colored fabric?
Hi, all... My girlfriend's mother has offered to make me an Indy shirt, provided I can obtain the fabric. However, a visit to the local fabric shop made me realize just how incompetent I am in this area (trying to discern between beachwood, tumbleweed and parchement colored cloth nearly made me go b...

ECWhips or Stenhouse?
Hi, all (1st post, *longtime* lurker) I'd like to pick up a bullwhip, and as a collegebound high-school student, I'm a really tight budget. I had made up my mind to buy a Stenhouse (8 foot), but when I tried to contact him, I found out he's taking a sabatical until the end of August. So... ECWhips i...
