Color of Vintage Millitary Pants?

Hey all,
First, I'd like to thank Antiquity Collector for being willing to go out and make this great find available to all of us; I've been wearing mine since I got them, and they're just great pants - that they have a button fly, two rear pocket flaps and pleats just sweetens the deal.

I was wondering if anyone who owns both the AC pants and a pair of NH/Westeds could post a color-comparison picture. A non-gearhead friend of mine told me she thought they were "too khaki," and ever since, I've been eyeing packets of RIT dye... Any suggestions?
