I agree with Erri. The brim is initially stiff as a cardbox, and it almost cracks when you try to mond it. But the felt will soon break, and it will become wind floppy, be sure!

and always note that often sizes of different brands don't match. as I said in another topic, I have a Henry 58 which fits me a little big, and a 59 Christy's that fits me just right. there's always a bit of randomness, in hat sizes!

well keep in mind that yes, the felt resisted not that long, but it was put under the sink. a light rain or even a brif downpour would not have affected it. I have one of those hats, a dorfman - fur felt. I tried to flatten the brim ironing it, but as a result I left some marks on the felt. Plus, now that hat looks like a sheriff's hat, the brim being EXTRA flat all around :lol: I think, but I'm not sure, that you could do the trick by steaming the brim...

Ok guys, this may seem a little off topic, but I THINK I might have found a wested jacket in this movie. I refer to the one worn by McMurhpy (jack nicholson) during th prologue.

It seems a Raiders jacket to my eyes. I'm no expert, but still there is some resemblance to me.

Maybe I've mentioned this before, but I reckon that fedoraiders creates the best SOC hats ever. Please guys don't kill me, but it's my opinion that he beats Fedora, Mark and Oak. Their hats are sure very nice and made with the best materials, but fedoraiders is THE SOC hatter.

RD, you can fiddle around with it yourself, but I've found 9 times out of 10 it's due to a broken/misaligned tooth, and not much can be done to keep it 'fixed'. this is so frustrating :( I hate when I can't solve a problem by myself, I always want to know _what_ is wrong and _how_ to make it right....
