Re: The Federation IV Display Page

Some sharp looking hats here, no doubt. I don't own a Fed IV, but I've always wanted one. I have always considered the Fed IV to be my "next Indy hat" (because I need one more...). There are finer felt versions of the hat out there. Anyone who has an Adventurebilt or one of Penman's lids k...

Stretch It Out

I have a Camptown fedora that just doesn't fit as well as it once did.

Maybe my head got too big?

Anyway, has anyone ever heard of stretching a hat?

The hat is a 7 1/8 which is my usual size, but it's a bit too tight.

I own both models. I have to say you can't go wrong with an Akubra in any regard, but like the rest said, the Fed is definitely the hat to get if you want to be as close to the real deal as you can get without getting into the masterpiece collection. I actually had someone comment on mine once about it "looking like the one Indiana Jones wears". When I explained it was, indeed, a replica, I was informed it wasn't accurate because it didn't have cuffs on the sleeve or chest pockets for storing gear. I didn't dare get drawn into that deb...

I have two pairs of Alden dress shoes, and they fit true to size. They are the same size as my 405's (10.5).
