The most Inexpensive outfit
Okay see if you can beat this. Head to toe $70.00
Shoes - Eddie Bauer $20 (sorry can't see but they're pretty accurate)
Pants - French Military from Sportsman's guide $10
Web Belt $4
Shirt - Laguna Safari from Sportsman's guide $10
Jacket - Target (clearance rack) $25
Hat - rebuilt cowboy hat $1
May not be the most SA but sure fit the pocket book.

Now THAT'S what I like to see! I've always been a proponent of the budget Indy and close-enough gear. You've taken it all and made it your own. VERY well done! You live up to your screen name!

Proof that the 'ol wallet doesn't have to go into convulsions when making a prudent Indy purchase....not a bad hat at all for the money. After all, the fedora is a derivitive of the cowboy hat. That's what you call doing it right!

Slick deal! That's a great hat! In my opinion, that's a great looking "real world" ensemble. And very in keeping with how I figure Indy got his stuff to begin with.

Re: The most Inexpensive outfit
It's not too often you can find a decent hat for only $1.00. That is really a bargain. Now for the budget MarkVII bag, leather/pleather strap and buckle, gun belt, holster, replica or toy gun, and some kind of budget whip. That's great budget costuming.

Re: The most Inexpensive outfit
Thanks everyone for the kudos. I should've grabbed my budget whip for the shot.
Leather, 8 foot, $6 from Wall Drug South Dakota. So I guess that makes it $76 total.
And by the way, the pants do have flaps on the back pockets, and the shirt does have epaulets.

Really cool. You can see how some good buys can bring an Indy costume together. This costume could also pull of Fedora from LC as well. Nice work

Wow, veery very nice job. It looks absolutely fantastic!
Now all you need to get is the bag and you are set!
Again, awesome job. I love when someone does something like this!

Re: The most Inexpensive outfit
This is probably the best example of gear on a budget I've ever seen. For some reason you remind me greatly of the Marvel Comics version of Indy from the Raiders comics drawn by Buscema.

Re: The most Inexpensive outfit
Thanks for all the compliments. The only downside to going the inexpensive route is the time it takes to find all the deals, but the hunt has been fun as well so I can't complain. It's amazing what you'll find if you keep your eyes open.

Re: The most Inexpensive outfit
This reminds me of last Halloween...
A kid came to the door dressed as Indy. His outfit was done on a budget, his dad told me as he remarked at my Indy gear. This kid had nothing close to SA gear, but it sure did exude Indiana Jones!
Your stuff looks great! Good job!
