Magnoli washington suit at my wedding

Post by starks_6 »

This must be my first proper post for about a year now, as the hobby got put to the side as I was organising my wedding. I apologise to the moderators if this thread is in the incorrect section and please feel free to move it if it is.
My wedding suit is the Magnoli Washington suit and tie as worn at the end of Raiders. Indy Magnoli has done the suit for me in black with pinstripes rather than the navy blue. I cant thank or highly regard him enough as always in the craftsmanship of his products or customer service. It was my third purchase from him and I will be making more. The better half has had to put up with my Indy obsession and this led to a 30's themed wedding with a 1937 Dodge for the wedding car. So a couple of pics of the wedding to show off the suit and theme, me and my groomsman, my brother and parents and with the wife!

Very nice. I like that its something you know is related, but not as obvious as a leather jacket and whip, something that the average attendee probably wouldn't connect to Indy.

And congrats.

Congratulations, very classy looking. I bet when Indy themed wedding was mentioned everyone thought you'd be there in your adventure gear.

A few of my friends did push for that. We thought it would be nice to try and do something classy though. I should also add that myself and groomsman wore fed 4's on the day and I wore my AB Aldens on the day (thanks Marc) :D so I was dressed through our gear vendors.

Photoss, the car was great. It was restored as completely original and even though we were up in the mountains it had no trouble tackling the hills. That was definitely one up for vintage Chrysler.

Very nice. I didn't realize the suit had a vest. I like vests.

I think you can see the vest in the film actually. I can hardly wait for bluray when we'll really see it better. :D

It actually doesn't, I ordered the vest as well in the same material. The vest is Indy Magnoli's "notched- lapel vest".
Once again, Indy Magnoli is an absolute gentleman to deal with.

Lantzn, that photo is very well aged. I may have to print a copy of that for the wedding album I think ;) Cheers,
Do you do much in the way of photo-shopping or is it more of a hobby?

Thanks, I do it for a living (23 yrs. now). Photoshop is my main program and I've used it since version 1.0 back in 1990. I also use InDesign and Freehand a lot. I've got Illustrator but keep using Freehand as that's what I learned on.

Very, very sharp!

Great looking suit, and a very stunning bride!

Showed this to my fiance, and she's hooked. She's wondering if the bride's maids wore 30s style dresses?

Thanks for the idea!

They weren't a 30's style dress as such, just a dress that my fiance picked that fit in a little with the theme. We found looking at pictures of dresses from the era that generally they weren't attractive by today's standards. It also was not uncommon for brides to wear coloured dresses themselves. We found that if clothing looks a little elegant, it will fit the theme.

Thanks for the photo post.

She's definitely hooked, now.

(Maybe I can talk her into a Tony Novak as a wedding gift.....)

Firstly, congratulations on the wedding.

Secondly, awesome suit!

I'm with Chewie there as I really like vests (we call them waistcoats here in the UK) as well. :TOH:
