Be careful with the type of bags you use though, stuff like Ziploc food bags don't do well for long term storage. Empty saddle soap tins work well too. I invested in one of those vacuum seal bag machines. I buy a bunch of falls, grease them and then vacuum seal them. Hmm, wouldn't a vacuum sealed b...

Having shoulder surgery from a car accident. Be very careful. I had a torn labrum that required 7 holes drilled into my shoulder to suture and anchor in my labrum. On top of that I had a tear in my rotator cuff and a detached bicep. The recovery was led with complications from a severe frozen should...

In my experience, there are not that many places in the US that ban the use of bullwhips outdoors. When an officer drops by to see me whipcracking I make sure my attitude is parked. I am polite and courteous. When the conversation switches to the whip, I politely state that the whips in general are ...

I have considered those too. I would still be careful. Having the whip close to a dog, cat or even field mice is tempting thing to chew on. I stow mine away in a tennis players bag. I got the very large version that can hold about 10 tennis rackets. It has two main compartments and plenty of smaller...

Yep Dan you are right sir. White hide indeed on the raiders. It's been so long. The confusion was David switched to red hide falls for a very long time. He was biased against white hide falls due to bad batches. He sells both falls now. Bottom line, I just like the white hide falls better. The only ...

I contacted Aldens when I found that they no longer fit well and they had me send them back. They realized that they could do nothing to resize...

I backup Dan too... anytime there is dirt, grit in between the braids there is going to be potential damage to the leather. The point of cleaning this whip up is not get rid of the stain, in my opinion is to dislodge, safely anything that was picked up during a whipping session on a top layer of mac...

The problem I see with a lot of these “Cairo Flash” (I really hate that term) techniques is that Indy does not just continue throwing the whip while spinning it over his head. Watch what really happens which is far more difficult in execution. After that initial throw, which is basically a cattlema...
