Saw a Second Model HE .455 with the chamber deepened to accept .45 Colt with 6 1/2" barrel and the proper grips at the Big Reno Show a couple of weeks ago. $1800.00. It was there Friday but was gone by Sat. Having the chamber deepened ruins the collector's value and it still went.

Syd stembridge told me that Lucasfilm sent him a picture of the Bapty gun and said they wanted another like it. The 1917 was in stock as it was, so that's the one that they ended up with for the stateside scenes. He never could find the letter and picture of the Bapty, or I would have it now.

I will go with the Bapty S&W 2nd Model HE. I'm sure Indy will (or has already) figure out that if you deepen the chambers, you have a perfect .45 Colt that will also fire .455 if you're in that part of the world. Nothing stops Nazis like a .45 Long Colt's 255 grain slug.

The jacket in the picture is the one I sent to Peter in 1987. The text is about the Gibson & Barnes Expedition Jacket(I even named it!). The jacket in the picture is the one peter copied down to the trianguler inside pocket facing.

I had a mint Webley-Green in my hand at the Tucson show last weekend. It will fit. the birdshead grip is actually smaller than the MK Vl grip. I did have to wipe the drool off the gun.
