Just a bit of a follow up.

I did get a hold of Paul and he's had some things pop up that kept him away from the shop. He's doing well and if anyone, like myself, has ordered anything from him recently he'll be back working on the orders soon.

Right now that's my main concern. IF this is going to be something where it's over a year before I can get my whip then I'd just rather get my money back and cancel the order.

At the moment though I'm just kinda left hanging.

Is "distressed steerhide" the same as "distressed cowhide" or is it a bit different? I really liked the cowhide on the jacket I just sold. I didn't know how much a difference there was between the two hides.

The "grainy hide" reminds me a lot of the way my Wested Goat looked years ago. Same type of texture.....Although, this hide doesn't have the "shine" that jacket did.

That's a nice new Indy jacket this company is selling. $800 for a jacket though is a bit steep. Any shots of the "grainy lambskin" version? My "threshold" for spending cash on leather jackets tops out at $500.

The lining feels like high quality nylon and color wise it's a lighter brown. It feels really nice.

Fitch, I just got mine back and I had a fear I might end up "swimming" in an extra large but thankfully that's NOT the case. My XL fits really well on me. You *might* want to give that a try before totally giving up. Just some food for thought.

Just to update this thread a bit. I received my XL replacement jacket today and I'm very happy with the fit. \:D/ :D I feel now like the jacket is less "constrictive" on me and I have a little more freedom of movement. For me personally I feel I made the right choice by going up a size. :)...
