What i'd ideally want are indy jackets that fit me like the TOD jackets. The slim, long fit looks best I feel. With the smallest pockets.

I dont think any vendor (maybe aside from Magnoli..not sure though) has gotten that jacket right. And no, it's not simply a raiders jacket over a beefed up indy.

Definetely go into wested and try on jackets. I wish I could have just tried on jackets there to get the fit I want. Even if you go to tailors and get measured, the fit can still be off. I agree. Thinking about getting a new wested or TN soon. My wested from 05 is lacking a bit - lack of scalloping pockets, the back panel is too high up and the pleat is way too wide (not sure if these 2 issues are fixed now?). Also I'm not happy with the overall fit.

If you want to wear it as a jacket i'd recommend at least a wested. Not sure exactly how much it is in USD now. Have prices of westeds gone up since a few years ago?

Todd's standard is pretty much just a costume jacket.

I have a small todd's standard and regret buying it for 2 reasons. 1. It's too small and way too short.

2. more importantly, it feels incredibly fragile. So no, if you want a 'real' leather jacket dont go for the todds. Go for a wested?

I think if it was any bigger it'd be WAY too big. As it looks now I think it's even very, very slightly too large in the chest...but I think it's TOTALLY fine as it is.

On the topic, still deciding whether to get the jacket replaced or not. On one hand, it looks nice (at least in person) as a jacket, but on the other hand, it'd be more SA if it was a size larger. So it depends if I want a nice looking, snug leather jacket, or a larger, more indy looking jacket.
