Blank Firing Webley and Hi-Power
Just got a lead on a couple of great blank firing options for Indy guns: WWII Guns I don't know if this has been posted before, but I couldn't find in in a search. Anyway, here's the Webley: http://www.wwiiguns.com/store/images/enfield_no2_mki_kit_store_wwii_0704_179.jpg And here's the Hi-Power: htt...

Kodiak; The hat is an HJ and a photo borrowed from a fellow COW member, I hope he doesn't mind. I have a great source of dirt, and it's free (my backyard)! http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y182/MojaveJack/BullionMountainssm.jpg I have trouble keeping the stuff off my gear. Using Pecards with brown tint
For those of you that have used the Pecards with brown tint to darken leather, have any of you had any trouble with the color coming off on other stuff? I recently redyed a pair of boots, and the dye keeps coming off on the cuffs of my pantlegs (and on my tuckus when I sit on my heels!). I want to d...

It's quite the eye-opener to see how much of the Indy films was based off the Brady Bunch. Tiki Idol? Nurhachi? Indy? Pleated shirt. Archaeologist? Dr. Whitehead? Pleated jacket. Archaeologist. I thought it might be a hoax had I not remembered they cut the whole surfing competition 'mishap' at the ...

Origins of the Indy Shirt?
I think I've found the stylistic inspiration for Indy's shirt. Whilst watching some quality Brady Bunch the other day, the Tiki Caves episode came on. You know, where Greg, Peter, and Bobby have to go to the cave to return the bad luck tiki to the grave of the Hawaiian king. There they run into craz...

Since Indy served on the line in WWI, he probably would have been issued one of these razors that were issued to the AEF: http://www.aefsupply.com/shave1.jpg http://www.aefsupply.com/shave2.jpg Since he was obviously fond enough of his hand ejector, he may have kept on using his issue razor, as well.

I think I have to agree with Hemingway on this, although honestly I don't think the liner looks that bad. That stitching at the ends is definately an issue, as that will almost certainly start to pull out. It seems like you might be able to get away with just having that section fixed by a cobbler, ...

J Crew Ruggeds are back
Anyone interested in a decent close-enough might want to check out J Crew. The Duxbury Ruggeds are pretty decent, and still about half the price of Aldens. The sole is wrong, of course, and the collar is padded a bit, but not a bad looking boot.
