need your help to choose my bagstrap and buckle
Hi everybody,
I plan to buy at TAG a new bagstrap and Tod buckle to replace the originale bagstrap of my MK6.
But i don't know which is the most appropriate : with or without border grooves ? And what about the size ? 65" or 72" ? I'm not tall : 1,76 m
I want it to be more screen accurate. I will be glad to read your opinion !

Bastoon, it depends on what style you prefer. If you're a Raiders guy, take the border grooves and the Raiders buckle (highly recommended; I own one).
If you're a Temple/Crusade-Fan, go without border grooves and take the Temple buckle.
But you can also combine the offered styles. Anyway, you'll be pleased with Richard's products.
BTW, take the 65" strap.
Regards,
Tom

Hi everybody,
Before i place my order to TAG i would like to know one thing : I'm not a "manual guy" you know... so : Is the buckle already attached to the strap ? or i will have to attach all things ? I just watched the tuto and it look like the buckle is attached to the strap...
By the way, am i an heretic if i choose raider strap and temple buckle ?

Mmm I'm in the same place as Bastoon...I think this thread has solved what buckle "Raiders" and strap "with grooves" for my MK VII.
I'm 1.89cm... is the 65' still the best if you want the buckle in the middle of your chest? Yeah I know...but I had to ask
Regards

I think the strap itself was around $12 or so, plus shipping in my case. It was made locally in Sweden and I just asked for it to be 1 inch wide, as dark brown as possible and long enough for my needs. If you have a saddle maker near by, or a leather shop you can think of that may be able to help you out you can get it pretty cheap if the shipping costs are cut out. I'd try the yellow pages.Dre wrote:Swindiana: how much did it cost you to get a strap made by a leather shop?

That one confused me and I was about to run and get a metric measuring tape to try and figure out how tall he was.VP wrote:That's about ¾ inches.IndyTaz wrote:I'm 1.89cm

I prefer to measure everything in Standard Popsicle Sticks. So VP, you are 16.4 Popsicle Sticks tall, and IndyTaz, apparently you are only .16 Popsicle Sticks tall. Note that that is the not the Imperial Popsicle Stick, which is quite different. Only the British still insist on using the Imperial Popsicle Stick.VP wrote:Indeed we do. I, myself, am fully 17.1 Popsicle Sticks tall.

Well, in these parts we measure everything using the Kidney Stone. I weigh in at a healthy 19,134.285714285714285714285714286 Kidney Stones, but I just round that off to 19,134 Kidney Stones. Using that old archaic British measurement, the plain old regular Stone, I come in at 13.21 Stones.erri_wan wrote:i wonder how many stones you are thenMojave Jack wrote:I prefer to measure everything in Standard Popsicle Sticks.
