Agreed. XL is really more like an XXL. I might buy a large even though it is 1 inch shorter.

Re: Todd's Jacket Owner's Thread

Does anyone have actual measurements of the new Todd's jacket in a size large? Chest pit to pit and sleeve shoulder seam to cuff. I bought an XL. The length is fine but it's too large in the body for me.

Re: My short review on a Todd's standard xxl. ****PICS****

I'd rather have actual measurements of the jacket so that I can determine whether or not it fits my body. No one, no matter how good they are, can fit you, sight unseen, over the phone. Nobody knows what fits better on you ... than you. Just need real measurements to make a decision. Anybody? Bueller?

Could someone post the measurements,in inches, of: *The sleeve length from shoulder seam to end of cuff *The chest, pit to pit, jacket zipped and laid flat *The shoulder from base of neck to shoulder seam On both the XL and XXL-A, please. I'm having a hard time with the "up to" measurement...

Hi. If you want a CS look, I would suggest buying another set of pants as the ones you've boughten don't have pleats in them (unless I saw the picture wrong), while CS do. I've found the following pants from LL Bean to be good "close enough" choices: Washable Year-Round Wool Trousers, Ple...

If you do get it worked on, expect to pay from $100 -$175 for it. It gets more expensive when they have to make a new sight. A good gunsmith will do the rebluing for free. At least mine did.

It was my understanding that the Brazilian contract M1917s were not as valuable as the U.S. Army models. That's the reason why I had no problem cutting mine down, adding a ramp, and rebluing it. My gunsmith balked at first but when he found out that it was a Brazilan gun he was okay with it.

It has the half-moon sight already. You should consider getting it done in the "other" version of the ROTLA gun. Cut down the sight a little, get it re-blued (but leave the tip un-blued silver), and change the grips to the plain wooden ones without the medallions. It would certainly be uni...
