What other kinds of Leather Jackets do you guys have?

Post by Dr. Jones Jr. »

Hey everybody, i was just sondering if anybody had any other types of leather jackets other than Indy jackets?

I have a dark red leather jacket that my girlfreinds dad gave to me because it is too small for him. its pretty cool, but its not an Indy jacket.

Cant wait for my Wested!

Right now, the ONLY leather jacket I have is a real A-2 Flyer's Jacket. Got it from the Air Force, and I love it! Although I may get an "Indy jacket" sometime, this one will remain my favorite...I like how it fits me...and we've travelled a lot of places together.

I have an Aero Leather Company Redskin B-3 shearling jacket and a
Real McCoys Seal brown B-6 shearling jacket.

I also have the B-2 shearling cap to go with them.

I have on the way an Aero Leather Company Californian jacket in
the Russet buffalo hide. I should have it in a few days.

I used to have some pretty cheesy 80's leather jackets that had zip
out linings in them. Real "Members Only" type stuff! They are long
since gone though...

Oh and of course I have a Wested leather Authentic Lambskin jacket
and a U.S. Wings Old Cow Indy jacket. Couldn't forget those...

Besides my Indy jackets, I also enjoy wearing my "Lethal Weapon 4" movie jacket...it has become my everyday jacket, I really enjoy it, it is comfortable, has smooth silky lining, durable, and warm..... :D

What exactly does this LW4 jacket look like? I've seen the movie, and if memory serves, I believe it is a medium length leather in black with a collar...way off on that one?

Hey! That is a nice jacket!

Those odd looks may have been looks of admiration, no?

Hey Indy James!

Yep, I've noticed that a lot of people who look at the jacket, give it a double take because you really don't see jackets like this everyday....same with the Indy jackets! However, I notice, by looking at that picture above, that it appears to be a smooth/thin type of leather. Mine, on the other hand, is made out of Cowhide so it looks a lot like the one in the picture....only mine is thicker and heavier. But, all around a great looking jacket indeed!! :D

Aside from the black cowhide US Wings jacket, my other jacket is an old, world-weary competition-thick motorcycle jacket. Black, of course--classic style, no frills, just a dear friend that I've had since junior high.

Doesn't look so bad with a fedora, either.

Let's be careful out there.

I have a black leather jacket from Wilson Leather that resembles the one Brad Pitt wore in Se7en.

And I have another brown leather jacket (a London Fog Towne) that I got for 80 bucks at Ross. That one resembles the Raiders jacket (or temple because of its length) but it's missing the front pockets with the storm flaps. It has the ordinary ones where you can stick your hands in. But the jacket does have the side straps (no buckets).

Cheers.

I have 2 jackets from Wilsons--a somewhat dressy long-ish black one, and a medium brown bomber. I haven't worn either since I got my Flightsuits. The black one I may wear occasionally when I have a concert (as we have to wear all black and it matches my clothes), but since, of course, I don't wear a jacket during the actual concert, every concert I've had since I got the FS, I've worn that instead of the black one. The brown one...I have a feeling I'll probably never wear it again. I might as well try and sell it. The difference in quality is, of course, monumental, and now that I've been spoiled, I just can't go back.
Regards--Maryon

Here's my original LW4 jacket from the same run the ones in the movie are from. I was told it was cowhide by a repair place. K

Good pics of the Lethal Weapon 4 jacket! :D

Yep, mine is also made out of cowhide as well. However, my buckles on the back appear to be a little different. But they don't bother me too much, since I think I am more picky when it comes to my Indiana Jones jackets being screen accurate....Overall, a pretty cool jacket!

Later!

Peter did a great job on his version. The only things that were off were the outside storm flap and the thick zipper seams(and quilted lining if you're that picky), but his jacket looks great. K
