The stickers look iffy- all the colors the same. Look at the variation on the one just above!

Re: Question about boots...
Exactly. I thought I once saw an ad for sort of panels of perhaps four hooks that could be positioned to serve in place of the grommet lacings.
Or perhaps there are other options?

Question about boots...
I recently bought some winter boots, lace-up. I've looked... didn't there used to be a means of making the top few, hooks instead? The "rubber shoelace" options I can find, don't thrill me... TIA for any help!

Re: KotCS backpack "HJ" label TUTORIAL
My ruck arrived. It's green, and in basic structure seems tough. Good stitching. But it is not a replica of the old bag in every way. There is nylon here and there, and Velcro (!) used to hold the sleeping bag pouch shut. And the pouch is made of a cloth resembling handkerchiefs. Good enough, I gues...

Re: KotCS Backpack (UPDATED thread on Germany Army Rucksack!
Many thanks! I figure an Indy backpack deserves period camping gear, so... Just got a (WWI) Model of 1916 bacon can and a (WWI) condiment tin (holds 3 days coffee in one end, three days sugar in the other, and a cap *in* one cap to hold the salt ration). I wish I knew a place that does hot tin dippi...

I just went looking on several 3D model sharing sites... and apparently, no one has put a nicely bashed ROTLA fedora on a scanner for the sake of posterity... While no one would be likely to print out a full-sized fedora, I imagine the smaller sizes might be popular. Imagine being able to fit an Ind...

Have Dremel, Will Restore?
In my quest to make my real M7 bag an approximation of what Indy would have carried, I ran across a quote at a WWII reenactor's site, to the effect that the real soldiers weren't issued antiques! The stuff should only look reasonably worn for the time of the action. I just bought a WWII mess kit, no...

My thanks to all! The bag ( I just re-watched the movie!) *is* the musette bag, beyond reasonable doubt. The jacket logo is clearly a painted-over logo of the ferry command listed in the other thread. I'll have to look around at hats to confirm if Heston's is the Australian hat the other thread ment...

Noobie's Got A Brand New Bag...
I have trouble getting around, and needed a good, utilitarian bag that did not scream "purse". So I thought I'd find out what kind of bag Indy used... and wound up here! I ordered a bag from Magnoli, and a strap from... elsewhere. Rather not say, as it was not much of a strap. Parts were n...
