Just came in here to say, I just got a call from PB about this. Very sad indeed. Never met him, but always heard good things about him.

Apparently it was heart failure. He had problems and had a pacemaker, but apparently his heart eventually gave out.

My worry is always the damage in INcompetent cobbler can do. I've taken expensive well made boots in for resoling only to get them back with erratic stitching that ruins the uppers for good. As a result I'm very wary of most repair places. I probably waste money that way but I spare myself the angs...

I got them off eBay, however the description says it was purchased in 2008, so about 5 years.

My LucasArts IJ jacket didn't look to well, 25+ years without really taking care of it had its toll. But this spring I got some leather cleaner and conditioner and I used it and it definitely revitalized it. So I'm looking forward to the cooler weather so I can start wearing it again.

The closest I can find is RotLA's pockets don't have snaps, while the others do.
