Penman makes its small screen debut on TNT's Leverage!!!
Was watching the show 'Leverage' on TNT this past Sunday when I caught a glimpse of a character in what appears to me to be a VERY Indy-esque hat. Would love to know the maker and where the costumers picked it up......here are a couple screen-grabs: https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-29shnJiRfIc/Tks...

=P~ =P~ =P~ Beautiful work Marc! I will be honored to photograph this hat for you - I must selfishly admit though that I'm very excited to get a chance to see and feel this hat in person. Found this in an antique store in Vancouver, WA and I thought I'd share a couple pics I snapped with my cameraphone. Pricetag said $35 and the size was "large". If anybody wants it, it's still probably sitting in the store. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_qRJjF5o2chE/TC9npM14uQI/AAAAAAAALSE/eftEOBdN...

Re: Henry display and property discussion page
Finally had a nice sunny day here in Oregon ('bout darn time!) so I decided to snap a few pics of my new grey Henry. The color is super accurate imho. It has hints of green with notes of red (we're starting to sound like wine snobs here when it comes to fedoras!). Anyway, hope you enjoy! If you have...

I can vouch for the color. I had a chance to visit with John and see the Greys firsthand today. Same as the brown Henrys in every respect except color. Oddly enough they share a little bit in common with the browns in terms of color as well. Much like there is a slight green underhue in the brown, t...

Hat organizer for closet
Thought I'd share the word on this re-purposed closet organizer I picked up for $15 @ the local Fred Meyer. It works perfect for keeping your oft rotated hats within reach instead of digging through box after box. That is not to say you shouldn't also have a nice hat box for each of your hats for lo...

Forget John's hat, the real highlight of the museum is the hat with a complete thanksgiving dinner on top. Re: JPD Reblock with vintage hat block
I can't remember if the Curry was the cheaper of the two options, but I bought the more expensive $160 hat, if that tells you anything. That was Winchester felt at that price. Pretty good stuff. I'd stay away from Todd's, it's not actual hat ribbon. It doesn't have a finished edge and looks frayed....

Actually it's more like a bet I have going on with another member here who shall remain nameless. Anyway, it's very simple - given the choice between the two, would you say this hat is more of a 'Temple of Doom' or a 'Last Crusade'. Re: What to look for in a well made hat
I just remembered something I had to add to my list of things to look for, or in this case, things you hope *NOT* to find in a well made hat, and that is glue - and I'm talking about glue of any sort, whether to hold the liner in place or the ribbon, there is no use for any glue in a well made hat. ...

Re: What to look for in a well made hat
Most of the custom vintage hats with a hand sewn in sweat, don't use a large number of stitches to hold in the sweat. They seem to use the minimum number to hold in the sweat. The reason? Most vintage hats were refurbed many times during the life of the hat. These stitch holes become a perforated o...

What to look for in a well made hat
Granted we all have our own laundry list of essential features we look for in a good Raiders hat – from well rounded camel humps, straight sides, brim swoop, reverse taper, the list goes on, but what about things to look for in a well made fedora, Indy or otherwise? There is a lot less talk on that ...

The bow work is indeed quite nice and SA - congrats are in order to someone. I don't think the Henry would bulge like that, unless the ribbon was re-attached VERY snug. No way is it a Keppler. I'm going to say LLS too. The way it bulges screams rabbit, the bow is too black to be an AB, and the low back suggests the new raiders blockshape.
