The original screen-used gun was made in the late 20s. I've not been able to nail down actual production dates but some info I found stated these were not produced after 1927. Kao Kan's revolver is in fact a S & W .32 nickel plated with PEARL GRIPS. It was rented from Bapty's along with Chen's Webley. At the moment we are working on discerning which S&W in the armory was the exact one used, as a portion of Bapty's documenting paper work for many of their firearms ...

The Webley in Last Crusade was supplied by Bapty as filming took place in England and Tunisia. Since Crystal Skull was filmed in the States it is highly unlikely that the revolver was rented from Bapty, but more likely from one of the Armories in California. I LOVE MY WESTED!!!!!! No complaints here (and you'll never hear one from me either)and I wear it every day to the museum. It is a GREAT privilege to own one and as close as I'll ever get to the real thing (screen used that is) :wink:

Yea, it was a shame but it came out of Bapty and they deactivated all the handguns they sold in a large group to Propstore of London. Chamber fires are quite common. Had all the chambers go off at once on my Colt Dragoon. The recoil nearly broke my wrist.
The Colt revolving Rifle was short lived during the Civil War as when multiple chambers went off you lost the fingers of your left hand.
