Just a note - these fees are per Federal/International Regulations and based on the value of the item. I periodically have items shipped here from overseas and the gov. has been cracking down on UPS, Fedex and other shippers to collect. It's your govs. at work not the shippers. As a non-profit museu...

Sounds Great, I'd really love to nail down the actual production history of my screen-used Webley. The more documentation on an item the better!

Re: My Temple of Doom Webley
The original screen-used gun was made in the late 20s. I've not been able to nail down actual production dates but some info I found stated these were not produced after 1927. Can anyone locate the prod. dates? The most interesting bit of side history to the screen-used gun is that it was purchased ...

Sure makes one's head spin and stomach turn! bottom line is in today's culture many folks can find a way of justifying their actions when there is a personal gain to be had regardless of who it hurts. Working in the museum field I actually run into this type of thing constantly. You'd be surp...

Michaelson's Peter Bros. Now on the head of a Brig. General
I had the pleasure of being presented by GraverobberGreg and Bufflehead Jones a Peter Bros. Fedora a few years back. This very hat once graced the noggin of Michaelson. :M: My younger brother and Rosetta Stone's uncle, Col. Stephen B. Leisenring, US Army, has just been promoted to Brigadier General....

Re: Another TOD gun identified!
Kao Kan's revolver is in fact a S & W .32 nickel plated with PEARL GRIPS. It was rented from Bapty's along with Chen's Webley. At the moment we are working on discerning which S&W in the armory was the exact one used, as a portion of Bapty's documenting paper work for many of their firearms ...

The Webley in Last Crusade was supplied by Bapty as filming took place in England and Tunisia. Since Crystal Skull was filmed in the States it is highly unlikely that the revolver was rented from Bapty, but more likely from one of the Armories in California. So the odds of it being the same Webley f...

Yea, it was a shame but it came out of Bapty and they deactivated all the handguns they sold in a large group to Propstore of London. Don't forget that as styles change over the years so do the sizes. A good example is the fact that we tend to wear less layers today than 50 years ago. While I wear a size 38 jacket by todays standards I really need a 40 to wear over the shirt, undershirt and vest or sweater I might wear to meet the...
