Takes training. Like heavier goatskin, wear it around the house, bend and stretch, lean over side to side, roll it up, but mainly wear it and get it warm …..train it to fit your body. Once it settles in, it fits like a glove and STAYS that way. Same physical weight as a goatskin or light cowhide….....

The Raiders Legacy leather is tough. I've done a little bit of distressing but it's mild and barely shows. Yes! I totally agree. It’s much more difficult than I thought it would be. My S&J LC? Distresses sooo easily. I’m so new to this, that I just thought it would be all the same. Was I ever w...

Thanks for the reply. I did purchase the sable originally. I find it quite dark. I believe it’s close to the Deep Sable (perhaps). I’m looking for a capeline that is lighter like the HJ Sable. Maybe it’s just a computer screen issue.

Re: Distressing a Legacy Raiders
I concur, less is more. When I distress my jackets, I go slow, ace tone does work, but I use a piece of cloth and lightly rubareas like elbows and end of the sleeves. Then out come Scott pads, 220 sandpaper for very light scuffing. Try to avoid these large scratches that some try. Let those come na...

I have tried acetone on a magnoli jacket and it seemed to not do much at all, actually. It's sort of more good for blending in spots that look to be too distressed, or scrapes where I don't want them. I still find the best option to be the rough side of a dish sponge, and putting it on, taking a qu...

Well if you're getting the D rings then you're already throwing screen accuracy out the window, so do the pocket flaps and collar matter that much? I like the scalloped pockets and pointier collar as well, but TBH the regular pocket flaps are fine. They used to be kind of cheesy way back when, kind...
