Re: Mil-Tec vs MFH German Rucksack Comparison

Great comparison! :)

For the clarification. Miltec get their stuff manufactured in Asia (India, Pakistan, China, etc.), and I would be surprised if MHF doesn't do the same. But then again, Apple get their stuff made in China as well.

I think it's a design mistake. If you wanted it to go to the opposite side, you could just take the strap out (only held in place by a few loops), and put it back in the other way.

I do also think that the sideshow statue got a too short jacket, and I don't want my own to be quite that short. But I really like the narrow back panel and good back fit. My idealized fit as shown in my initial post is indeed from a model, and not a real jacket. I'm however planning to tweak my Indy impression slightly to sacrifice 100% SA in favor of a more 'tuned' look. Something that fit's me , and not a 100% copy of Fords outfit. I ordered my exact size (40 body), and asked for it to have the slim cut (don't know if the message got to the cutter). I'm not sure about the sleeves. Yes they are. I got the longest size avalible, but they are not long enough for me, and therefore do not get the right look. I got a pair of very well fitting German police trousers. I know a few details are off, but on the whole they are a good substitute. There are however a few things that doesn't really appeal to me. The shipping is a reasonable 38 AU$. The problem is the national mail service here who normally handle smaller packages, they charge 30$ just to handle it, and then comes another 25% tax on top of that. The final price would be around the 225UD$ mark.
