Re: Indy arabian tunic...
Thanks Jeff, I can't believe it's been so long though. Time really flies. I'd been looking for a thobe with the right cut and colour for ages and I had given up and suddenly I found this one on ebay that with some modification could easily become a great Raiders thobe. Re: Are home dye jobs possible?
That looks like a NH ToD to me. ;) Good eye. Indeed it is. It has got that big clunky zipper. I got it June 11, 2010. I remember it clearly because I found the package from Wested was lodged in between the handle and the frontdoor, when my wife and I got home from the hospital with our newborn son....

Re: Are home dye jobs possible?
Zoltar and Kredepops, I'm curious about your results. Are you making the jacket darker uniformly over all of the jacket, or are you just darkening it up in spots? Darker all over, but I wanted a really distressed look so I didn't go for a completely uniform color. I think you need to soak the jacke...

Re: Are home dye jobs possible?
I dyed my Wested ToD lamb jacket darker. I just diluted black leather dye with water and applied it with a sponge. It darkened the jacket considerably.
It's not a complete re-dye though just darkening it. What result are you after?

Awesome jacket Holt! Love that dusty look! Is that all just from distressing? No Fullers? I had the same problem with my Wested ToD. The one I bought 1½ years ago, had a more yellowish tone to it. I didn't care much for the colour that showed through when I distressed it, so I just rubbed brown shoepolish on it and it looks perfect now. The distressed areas just soaked it up.

Cool, we're still trying to find out how long it'll take her to make one, and find the right colour for the tunic, that greyish colour is hard to find.
IF we get this made, we'll only do one size (Harrison Ford's size) to keep costs down.

We've succesfully sourced the trim on the sleeves and the opening in front. We're taking care that this will be as SA as possible. We've compared Doc's robe with the HD screenshots, and although it's very close, it's not an exact copy. The trim is slightly different on his and most likely of a diffe...

I did it too, and I'm in no way an expert on that stuff. It was pretty easy, just look at how the original bow was constructed and do the same Must admit though that I did use a small amount of crazy glue to get it right.

It really does depend on the individual bag. I've had an original from sentimental journey for 10 years, holds up beautifully and it looks like it saw alot of action during ww2 too. Then I bought one unissued W&G from WPG and one strapholder broke after just a few hours of use.
