Re: Got my 1957 Legend
Hey everyone, thanks for all the compliments! Just got in form the wedding so we are doing the wind down thing. Though I would answer what I could. The Sweatband is the vented kind - I'll take pics when i get back in town - and yeas the stitches on the ribbon are noticeable on the hat itself, but on...

Got my 1957 Legend
Only had time to take these few pics here because I get married on Sunday so time is a bit tight. However as I was excited to get it I thought I would find the time to share. No pics of it in it's natural habitat (my head) as I had to take the pics myself and they really didn't come out too well. It...

Well as Steve said all the hats had ribbons, but maybe this one got removed during filming. While on set a lot of things happen in movies on the fly for reasons that don't normally get discussed because they were just needed at one moment and not as part of a major grand scheme. It's possible that t...

Not an Indy Jacket but still leather
Ok here's my situation. I have a house made in 1940. So insulation is ok, but no the best in some places. such as the closet that has my Magnoli Tyler Jacket. Two of the closet walls are outside walls. so when you open the closet door it can be quite cold in there with the changing weather. I can't ...

Havershaw, just curious, as I said before i am a 38 reg, but was curious of a few things about you to help me chose a jacket size. If you odn't mind. this has been very helpful because due to my current budget I am thinking of a Todds standard as well. I am also a 38 reg and thought the small might be the best option but the medium looks like a great fit on you. I can't wait to see the after pics as I think I will follow the same steps you did. Terrasolo, the leather is very light and thin. I'm sure it could tear if it got snagged on some sharp metal so I wouldn't try climbing razor wire in it. It does feel tougher now that it has seen some weather. When I first got it, I remember taking it off before playing with my in-laws overly exuber...

Should anyone care about such things: I am going to dye the last three of my five custom tailored shirts. Well this might or might not help. The Brass buckel will tarnish, but will take time as the Brass over steel will age faster, specialy if youtake some 000 steel wool to it. I think the connection between Who and Indy is three simple things, one Indy is a time period piece and Who is time travel so it feels slightly at home. then you have the paranormal, but more so you have a hero who used his brains and not just his fists or weapons. Indy is more involved with the fis...

I have a Wested goatskin jacket. If I were you, I'd just wad it up in a ball and toss it in a corner of your closet until it gets cool enough to wear. That should take care of a lot of the stiffness. As far as the sleeves shrinking over time, I have to say I haven't noticed any shrinkage with mine....

Re: Good point
Terrasolo, You make some very good points I think. I kind of agree with you that an authentic jacket, however that might be defined, should be something that ages naturally and through ones own natural efforts. I think it´s a little "misleading" perhaps to artificially age a jacket. It´s ...
