Re: Easing into Public Fedora Wearing
Really, it's a right of passage and you just have to go through it. When you first go out wearing a fedora (or when I did anyway), you feel very self-conscious. And yes, you'll get the remarks (especially from those that know you) and the looks from strangers. But, if you'll just keep wearing it, it...

i've read the backstory, just curious if anybody else had a preference for the calf or lamb. Understood. And, just to clarify on my end, I don't think there's a big question on hides as used in the movie as a whole, just for one jacket in particular. ;) Those question aside, I think Sarge is dead o...

Sarge has stated that these jackets are to be 100%, cut and dried and stitch for stich, made to the same patterns Neil Cooper used for the movie jackets (I'm thinking Raiders and Temple here) without ANY outside influence. It falls between a Todd's and the Nowak CS (or the Wings CE--same leather) if you held any of those for comparison. It's light for a cowhide.

The Standard isn't the most robust Indy jacket out there, but it is far from a costume jacket as well. I've had mine for several months now and went to it a lot as it is really good for fall/spring/mild winter days. It's held up well.
