My 46 Long Wested!!!

Post by Imahomer »

I've had a variety of Indy type leather jackets and never got one that fit me right. I started with a U.S. Wings, then a Gibson & Barnes, then a custom fit by Tony Novack. None of them fit me right. I never bothered to order a Wested because I had heard that their sizing was different and I thought I'd just be throwing more money away.

Well I noticed that someone here was selling their Wested 46 L (usually my size) and after some communication with riothamusm he agreed to ship the jacket to me so that I could try it on. No cash exchanged hands and it was just a "trust me" sort of thing. I got the jacket and it really fits me perfectly. I sent him the money via Paypal and we are both happy.

This post isn't to tout Wested, or any other jacket, but to speak up for a real good guy - riothamus.

Thanks again Keith

Glad to help a fellow gearhead out! It'll look much better on you than sitting in my closet. It never did fit me quite right and now I'm down some weight, it really doesn't fit. Post up some pics of you wearing it!

Well, like I said... It's not so much a post about the Wested, which couldn't fit me better... It's a post about trust and working things out between to guys here on the forum.

Well, I'll skip over the "sorry... where are you in this shot?" joke (ooops... I guess by saying that I'm NOT though, am I?) ;)

But in all seriousness, the color and length of it really look like they compliment you! Looks like an excellent deal was arranged between yourself and riothamus, Imahomer!
:D

...And those sleeves, I can't say enough about those beautiful, beautiful sleeves... (even if one does look to be a little longer than the other!)
:P

(Alright, so I had to do one more joke... but I mean, c'mon... it's hard NOT to!)

Mike,
It looks great on you and that you love it! I was looking into getting it from Keith but I was unsure if it would fit me. So I'm glad he was able to sell it and that it went to a good home. Wear it in good health (which I see you've already done).

From what I see of it behind the decorations that jacket looks good on you. I guess it didn't fit Keith well?
I always thought your TN jacket looked good on you too.

RC, it fit mostly well when I got it from another member a couple years ago. However, I've lost a bunch of weight and it's too big. It also was a little too short in the back for my tastes. Glad it works for you Imahomer!

Iamhomer, if you can just get your two companions to travel around with you, I guarantee people will be looking your way. Not at you but looking your way.

And yes, the jacket seems to be a nice fit.

Nice to see a deal gone good! I had seriously considered this jacket for myself, but what's really ironic is, without realizing it at first, I had actually tried it on when it was still in the hands of its original owner a couple of years ago...before he sold it to riothamus!! Small world huh!?
Now I'm waiting on a couple of jackets (one I picked up here on the COW) ..and maybe I can get two beauties to pose with me =P~

Congrats and wear in good health!

It seems the jacket has a few miles on it, although you'd never know it by the excellent condition that it is in.
