Incredibly saddened to have connected to the Internet this morning and the first words I read were in a message from Anthony DeLongis wishing Godspeed to Mr. Morgan. It seemed the most appropriate thing in the world to me to have first heard about it from him. *sigh* - Dean Charles Stanforth: "...

Re: Could Indy Have Worn an A2 in Raiders?

My take on it was just like everything Indy wore... military inspired and custom made. Just like his shirts and pants, I reckon Indy saw an airman wearing the A-2 and liked it enough to have a replica made to his own specifications. :TOH: I never figured Indy had his stuff custom-made - why would h...

Re: Could Indy Have Worn an A2 in Raiders?

The simple clean barrel cuffs are one of my favourite parts of the Indy jacket. Whenever I wear a jacket with knit cuffs I get that itchy polyester flashback to the 70s and 80s. :) The twin waist vents are also a great feature that means I don't have a big elastic band around my waist/hips that kee...

Re: Wested Indy Trousers

My main complaint with the Wested trousers is the length - 35" unfinished??

I need 35" *finished*, and how can I do the proper military hem with nothing at all to work with? Isn't the proper hem 4"?

Are all Gearheads actually that much shorter than me? What have you taller guys done?

Re: Wested Leather shirts/trousers

I would love to buy a pair of Wested trousers, but for this: 'Leg unfinished 35"' I need a 35" finished inseam, and there's no way I'd be able to put the proper military hem on them with that limitation so I'm stuck with just random tan-colored pants for my otherwise S/A gear. Frustrating.
