Re: Wested Jacket Opinions...

Hi, I remember selling that jacket to you. I purchased it from another member here. I was told it was custom. It was acquired before the ROLA specials and before the famous Holt specs. The tell-tell signs are the underarm gussetts and all cotton lining with UK label. Holt was designing his LC jacket...

The jacket does weigh a little more than my Wested Raiders, but nothing I find personally uncomfortable. Actually the weight and feel of the leather make it seem like a very durable choice. Wested Doctor Who Das Boot Coat

Good Day All, I just wanted to share a couple of quick pics of my new Wested Doctor Who / Das Boot coat. Another option perhaps worth considering, is going down to an Army Surplus store and pick up one of their button-in or zipper linings they make for field jackets. They are pretty thin and usually cost no more than $20.00.

Anybody have the current measurements on the Wested special offers washed goat in 42R. I wouldn't say the HH is too heavy to wear, but you will definitely notice that you are wearing it. It's not near as light as the lambskins and goat. But as stated above, you definitely get the impression that this jacket was built to last.

I consider the Todds more like a light windbreaker. So if it's treated as such and not subjected to any abuse it will probably hold up.
I have both the Wested and G&B, and as has been echoed here, they are much more durable.

That's a fine looking jacket. That horse definitley feels and looks good. It sounds as if we did the same thing, ordering an expedition and a Wested horse back to back. And I agree, after wearing the horse, the goat feels like a featherweight.

For being horse, it is pretty soft and not too heavy in comparison to some a-2 jackets out there. It's definitely heavier than my Wested lambskin. I think it has a good balance of weight, thickness and drape. It feels like it can take some abuse without feeling like strapping on body armor.
