I always figured that the bowtie that Indy wears to dinner at Pankot Palace was the tie from his Shanghai tux. Guess not.

Re: Todd's vs. Magnoli MKVII
I just got a bag from Todd, and was extremely pleased with the look and feel of it. Seemed a very sturdy bag. However, while applying what I thought to be relatively moderate sanding to the surface of the bag, I managed to sand through the seam stitching in three different places. While this is tota...

Indy movie bullwhip sounds in .mp3?
Anyone have some of the Indy whip sounds from the movies in .mp3 format (or even .wav, for that matter) that they would mind sharing, or know where I could find them? Thanks.

Awesome gun! By the way, where's the class ring from? Looks a lot like an Aggie ring.

Re: Coyle's "Outdoorsman's" Boots
As promised, here are a few pics of my Alden after my dog had spent a few minutes on it. It was a very sad sight to wake up to. Neddless to say, I no longer keep my boots at terrier level. #-o Like I said, I'm going to see about getting them converted to low-top shoes, as soon as I get around ...

Interesting. Do you know if those sole protectors can be added to the existing soles, or are they part of the rebuild? I just got a pair of Outdoorsman boots last night. While I don't foresee wearing through my soles as quickly as you did, I wouldn't mind taking preemptive action while my soles are ...

Thanks, Mark. It was your hat-making tutorial that gave me the idea to re-do my ribbon (and to reblock my hats). I was certain of the measurement that I needed before I stitched it, but then I stitched the heck out of it. I'd almost trust the loop to hold my weight because I placed three rows of sti...

That's interesting. I haven't seen anything quite like that. It would be nifty to have one. The only thing comparable that I have seen is the spring-loaded cowboy hat holders that mount to the roof of the cab, and hold the hat brim up. However, I haven't seen one of these in a long time. It's not qu...

Can someone post a pic of a strap from Todd that they got recently? I bought one a couple of years ago, and he was out of stock for a long time. I did take the liner out, but left the sweatband in. Turned out to be a mistake in the case of my Akubra (see above). :) However, the leather sweatband of my JPD did just fine. I would certainly never presume to be able to tell anyone what to wear. As I said earlier, I'm no expert on fashion or style. Before reblocking my beat-up Federation, I felt comfortable wearing it with less than formal attire (jeans, Aldens, Polo shirt). The hat itself did not give off a formal vibe - very SoC. Now, despite being faded, with smooth lines and defined bash, it seems less casual, so I find myself wearing slac...

No doubt that the goat hides are extremely tough. I have made several attempts to distress my Wested goat, only to have my efforts proven fruitless. That shine just does not want to go away! I cannot help but feel, however, that I'll be taking years off of the life of my jacket by employing harsher ...
