They are somewhat chromed...but very easy to distress with a little steel wool.Risu wrote:That looks like the exact same shape as the Lee Keppler buckle, just not as chromed a finish, which is good.

Re: Tight Hat
I really don't think it's the sweatband. The hat seems like it's a size too small. If that's the case...what are my options for making it a little bigger? Would you recommend the stretcher for that too?

I have an Adventurebilt I got about a year ago, I'm not sure if it's the fact I gained alot of weight or if the hat was in the sun and shrunk a tad bit, but the hat is a little too tight for comfort. I'm wondering if there's a trick that I can do at home to loosen up the tightness a tish without com...

Re: Texas Action Gear limited run...THE Raiders Bagstrap Buckle.
So what makes these more perfect than, say, the AB buckle? Well, I don't want to get into a big debate, I'll let you all do the debating. ;) Just compare the screenshots and the buckle options, and decide for yourself. The biggest thing I've learned after years of enjoying the indygear hobby is the...

Hello everyone....
I came accross a box of my old buckles, and I'm wanting to sell them off. More information here: http://crookedpathfilms.com/tag
These are still to date the most accurate you'll find. Post any questions you may have.
Thanks!

Hey guys,
I'm selling my old stock of Raiders buckles here: http://www.crookedpathfilms.com/tag
Some of the long-time members might remember me as "Texas Action Gear." These are still, IMO, still the most screen-accurate.
Thanks!!

The ONLY reason Indy has the Webley is because Rob MacGregor saw one in a gun shop, thought it was neat looking, and wrote it into the LC storyline. He told me this himself while consulting with me on guns for his book/program 'Amazon' several years ago. No other reason than an authors whim, plain ...

I'm pretty sure that this is the same whip I got about 15 years ago when living in Seattle. If it is, it's 8-plait, rubber swivel handle, and doesn't taper much to the fall. The fall was like an inch wide, too. I ended up braiding over the handle and trimming the fall. Worked pretty good after that.

I ordered it in fall of '04. I couldn't say if it was chrome or veg. tanned. It was definately tougher. It wouldn't rip or anything like that, but the shiny finish on both jackets are similarly easy to distress. The most notable difference between the two are obvious when I got in the car to drive s...

I visited Jimmy at Jimmy Pierce Designs today in beautiful Granbury, TX, and must say am impressed. I brought along my fedora made by someone else for a reblock Raiders style and it came out perfect. I remember seeing something in here about this block, again from hatshapers:

Anyone ever try it? Seems pretty nice. Maybe I'll order one and post a review, my AB is due for a reblock.

I have the Deadlock Indy shirt and I was wondering what is the best lightweight indy shirt available.
