I really don't think it's the sweatband. The hat seems like it's a size too small. If that's the case...what are my options for making it a little bigger? Would you recommend the stretcher for that too?

I'm pretty sure that this is the same whip I got about 15 years ago when living in Seattle. If it is, it's 8-plait, rubber swivel handle, and doesn't taper much to the fall. The fall was like an inch wide, too. I ended up braiding over the handle and trimming the fall. Worked pretty good after that.

I asked for my jacket to made with "thicker" hides of lamb, and that produced a pretty thick n' tough jacket while keeping with the lamb softness.

I don't know if they still have them, but Walmart had brown kids cowboy hats for awhile. I took one, put a ribbon on it, steamed it, and trimmed the brim for my little boy. You can get a black grosgrain ribbon from Michaels.

This is what I used on the back of the straps I made. I thinned it down with water because it goes on pretty thick (its like rubbery acrylic paint). Hope it helps!
